Helen Hunt, 61, reveals she does not diet, use Botox or get plastic surgery… see her now
Helen Hunt refuses to conform to Hollywood’s beauty standards.
Over the past few years, the actress, now 61, has shifted away from feeling pressured to maintain a specific image.
She shared, as she talked to Flow Space, “I found it unavoidable to absorb the ideal image one should have. There was a significant dose of sadness and embarrassment associated with not meeting that standard of appearance.
Helen came to understand that the ideals of beauty in Hollywood were impacting her self-confidence. Yet, she is determined now to shield her psychological wellbeing from such external forces.
I recognized, ‘This could subtly disrupt your entire existence.’ I chose: I won’t participate. Won’t allow it to consume much mental room.
Helen’s innovative methods have been significantly shaped by “The Only Diet There Is,” a text authored by spiritual guide Sondra Ray.

The actress explained: ‘What I took from it, is eat what you want and love every bite, period.’
This also meant she has refused Botox and plastic surgery as she prefers to age naturally.
Meanwhile, Helen previously admitted to obsessing about her appearance in the 80s.
At a particular point, the actress found herself under intense expectations about her appearance. However, a shift in mindset turned out to be truly life-changing for her.
She shared with HuffPost Live that she struggled with body image concerns during the ’80s, feeling anxious because everyone seemed to be in better shape or thinner. Her worries peaked at that time.
Helen’s change in attitude has benefited her mental and physical health.
The award-winning actress pondered: ‘I let go of the worry, and since then, both my mind and body have improved.’
Instead of attending the specific exercise classes labeled ‘abs, thighs, and buns,’ I found myself questioning my priorities: “Given that my time on earth is limited, should I truly forgo an entire hour in this workout session?
Helen has an Academy Award, four Emmys, and four Golden Globes under her belt.
She is well-recognized for acting in movies, plays, and TV shows such as the sitcom Mad About You (1992-1999) on NBC and the 1997 romantic comedy As Good as It Gets. For her performance as Jamie Buchman in Mad About You, Hunt was honored with four Emmy Awards, three Golden Globes, and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
She was seen in March in a new social media photo.
At Wrigley Field in Chicago, Hunt gleamed with joy, accompanied by her partner, the talented actor Jeffrey Nordling from Big Little Lies.

Wrapped up against the cold of late winter, the actress who played Jamie Buchman in “Mad About You” (from 1992 to 1999) signaled her readiness for the start of the baseball season.
In a few short hours, the Chicago Cubs will square off against my Los Angeles Dodgers in Tokyo for the opening game of the 2025 season. Exciting times, right? Yet, I must admit, the Cubs are truly impressive, and that stadium is a masterpiece! #GoDodgers
For over three decades since her portrayal of Sarah Jessica Parker’s vivacious best friend in the 1985 film, ‘Girls Just Want to Have Fun’, Helen maintains the distinct luster of a Hollywood star.
After a stylish appearance at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party last month wearing a classy Christian Siriano dress and walking hand-in-hand with Nordling, her latest Instagram post shows off her playful side.
In 1988, the two initially met when they were cast together in the NBC film “Shooter,” which centered around war photographers during the Vietnam War.
In their performance, she portrayed Tracy, while he assumed the character of Matt Thompson. However, it appeared as though no romantic sparks flew during that time.

Moving on to May 2022, it was then that fans began wondering about the circumstances when Jeffrey posted a group picture taken at Dodger Stadium. In this image, he was seen socializing with Helen, Camryn Manheim, and Billie Jean King.
By October, they solidified their relationship by making their first public appearance together at the Los Angeles Philharmonic’s 20th Anniversary Gala held at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on the red carpet.
15th of June, 1963, saw the birth of Hunt in Culver City, California. She started acting at a tender age and made her first appearance on TV in the 1973 series titled “Pioneer Woman”.

I persisted in my cinematic journey, claiming prominent parts in Twister (1996), Pay It Forward (2000), and The Sessions (2012). Remarkably, the last one even landed me an Oscar nod.

Hunt made her feature film directorial debut with Then She Found Me (2007).
From the year 2001 up until 2017, she was in a marital relationship with producer Matthew Carnahan. Together, they have a child named Makena Lei Gordon Carnahan who was born in the year 2004.
Over the past five years, Helene Hunt once again stepped into her famous character, Jamie Buchman, for the comeback of Mad About You, which premiered in 2019 exclusively on Spectrum Originals.
