Helen George has disclosed that the police visited her home on several occasions during the night, expressing worry over her well-being.

40-year-old actress from Call the Midwife found herself taken aback when two policemen came knocking at her door, following reports by neighbors about sounds of distress such as sobbing and shouts for assistance.

Helen acknowledged that it was a difficult mental period for her due to the ongoing divorce proceedings with her former husband, actor Oliver Boot.

On the Drunk Women Solving Crime podcast, Helen recounted an incident where she was awakened around 2 AM by a knock on her door. Upon peeking through the door, she saw two police officers standing outside.

They inquired, “Are you alright?” Their expressions suggested genuine worry for my well-being. In response, I assured them, “Yes, I was merely napping. I’m perfectly fine.” They then shared, “We’ve received concerns from multiple neighbors that they heard you crying and calling out for help down here.

Initially, I was taken aback, exclaiming, “Oh my goodness! What’s happening here?” This surprise led to a moment of panic as intruders were present. Though they eventually left, they had searched my apartment, assuming someone was inside threatening me or there was some sinister activity taking place due to the suspicion that I was being harmed or abused.

The actress later expressed: ‘In the next two months, this incident occurs approximately twice as often. I’m starting to feel like I might be losing my mind, and I believe it’s necessary for me to document myself during sleep. Clearly, something is amiss. Let me clarify that I was concurrently performing in a play titled ‘After Miss Julie’, which is a psychological thriller.’

Is the character acting unstable, leading us to wonder if reality is mirroring fiction? The following night, as I lay in bed awoken by bright lights illuminating my drapes, it turns out to be police officers patrolling outside my home, ensuring my well-being. After some time, I allow them entry and they are the same individuals.

Could the character’s descent into madness be a reflection of real life? One night, as I lay in bed startled by lights flashing on my curtains, it was none other than police officers in my garden, verifying my safety. After a while, I grant them entry, and they happen to be familiar faces.

In a more straightforward manner: “Once again, it seems like trouble. People are talking about shattered glass, loud arguing, and yelling. So I invited them to check it out, as there were no broken glasses. But then we heard more screaming, and my next-door neighbor was there with his partner who has a high-pitched voice.

*The entire time, it turned out to be him. The sense of relief washed over me, knowing I hadn’t been losing my mind. For months, this situation had persisted. No one had bothered to look next door! It felt like a collective attempt at manipulation, much like gaslighting.*

Helen concluded the narrative by disclosing that her neighbor had been dealing with substance addiction issues, which ultimately led to their arrest. This revelation left hosts Taylor Glenn and Hannah George utterly speechless.

– She explained: ‘Ultimately, they took him into custody due to concerns about his partner. It appears that it was approximately five instances where I visited, and during that period, I was going through a divorce, which was emotionally challenging for me.’

‘But I was fine. And the poor lad next door I don’t know what happened there.’

After Helen disclosed that she was experiencing only love following TopMob’s announcement about her entering into a new relationship with businessman Dan Innes, this event transpired afterward.
