Helen Flanagan admits she’s ‘had a lot going on’ amid chronic health woes and her kids suffering sickness bug… before taking a swipe at ‘untrustworthy’ men

Helen Flanagan hinted at personal health struggles just hours after posting a mysterious message on Instagram about trusting men.

The 35-year-old actress, known for her role on Coronation Street, recently shared a meme about not trusting men. She has PMDD, a severe form of PMS. Shortly after, she posted heartwarming photos with her children, revealing they had all recovered from being sick.

The social media post showed an image from Disney’s 1959 film, Sleeping Beauty. It’s a screenshot of the Prince asking, “Do you trust me?” but with a humorous addition: Sleeping Beauty’s response was changed to, “No, I stopped trusting men a long time ago.”

Helen shared that she’d been quiet on social media lately because she’s been dealing with a difficult time and managing PMDD, a long-term condition that affects mood and causes both emotional and physical symptoms leading up to her period.

I haven’t been very active on Instagram lately. Things have been hectic, and I wasn’t feeling up to posting. Plus, my PMDD has been really difficult, and everyone in the family, including me, was sick with a bug for several days. It’s been a tough time, to say the least.

Helen has been going through a difficult time recently, struggling with money problems, a split from her boyfriend Robbie Talbot, and periods of anxiety.

Last month, the woman experienced an emotional crisis and expressed strong frustration with sharing parenting responsibilities in a post on Instagram.

Helen and her ex-fiancé, Scott Sinclair, share three children: nine-year-old Matilda, six-year-old Delilah, and three-year-old Charlie. They co-parent, meaning the children spend some of their holidays with Scott, which Helen admits she finds difficult.

Helen became very upset while speaking on camera, explaining that she has a lot of difficulty when people she cares about leave. She only feels okay with them being away if she’s busy with something else, and she’s currently experiencing severe anxiety.

Earlier this year, friends shared that the actress ended her relationship with Robbie in May, after realizing she wanted something different.

The couple met while appearing on Celebs Go Dating.

According to a source, the couple is heading in different directions because their priorities don’t align. She’s focused on her new acting career and balancing work with raising their children.

Two weeks ago, she told him their relationship wasn’t working and that she needed some space. Even though she still cares about him, she wants to be by herself for a while.

Helen revealed weeks ago that she and Scott were no longer living together, even though he had briefly stayed with her. She explained that having him around wasn’t good for their children, who were missing their father. The pair had separated in 2022 after being together for 13 years.

She explained to The Sun that she’d invited him to stay with her for a bit, as she often feels frightened when she’s home alone and feels more secure when a man is present.

Matilda is a sensitive child and is very close to her father, so she finds it difficult when she doesn’t get to see him as much as she wants.

I often consider how sad she gets when she misses her father, and I worry that my boyfriend being around might actually make things harder for her.

Helen has had to significantly lower the price of her £1.5 million family home. She first listed it for sale in May, but reduced the price to £1.195 million just a month later.

Now, the detached, six-bedroom, 5,000sq ft home is up for £995,00.

But, despite her financial troubles, Helen underwent a £500 cosmetic procedure earlier this month.

She shared on Instagram that she recently got lip fillers and a facial treatment that uses fish sperm.

Helen posted a video after her treatments, expressing her gratitude to her doctor and explaining the procedures she underwent.

I just finished my second facial with Natalie, and I only trust her with my skin – she’s fantastic!

I’m really particular about how I take care of my face, and I always trust Natalie with my Botox. I’ve never had anything done to my bottom lip, but I do get filler in my top lip – though I haven’t gotten around to it recently.

I always ask if I can get some, and she always says I don’t need it, but I actually go to her for my Botox injections.

Okay, so she talked about getting *another* treatment under her eyes! Can you believe it? She said she noticed a few little wrinkles and just *had* to do something about them. Honestly, it’s amazing – she’s so dedicated to taking care of herself, it’s inspiring! I mean, she’s flawless, but still! She’s always looking for ways to stay perfect, and I love it!

She explained that polynucleotides are an injectable treatment for the under-eye area, made from extracts of salmon sperm, and designed to improve skin quality.

These products work by encouraging your skin cells to repair themselves, which improves skin health, boosts moisture, and makes your complexion brighter. You’ll likely see a more refreshed and less tired look, with smoother, more resilient skin.

We suggest three treatments, spread out over several weeks, for the best and most natural-looking results.

Polynucleotide treatments in the UK typically cost between £200 and £500 per session, but prices can differ depending on the clinic.
