Heidi Montag tearfully admits she only has ‘two pairs of jeans and two shirts’ left after she and husband Spencer Pratt were forced to flee their home before it was destroyed by LA fires
Heidi Montag shared that she now owns just two sets of jeans and two tops, as a result of her and husband Spencer Pratt being compelled to evacuate their Pacific Palisades residence following the destructive Los Angeles wildfires.
Earlier this week, the family consisting of a couple and their two boys left their house due to massive fires breaking out in the high-end neighborhood populated by celebrities. Since then, pictures have emerged, indicating that their residence no longer exists.
In a recent video shared on her Instagram Stories, Heidi openly confessed that she felt ‘swamped’ as she tried to gather necessary items for her family following the evacuation order.
Overwhelmed by emotion, she remarked that whatever items she managed to salvage were truly a “blessing.” Although grateful that her loved ones escaped the fire unharmed, she continues to grapple with the grief of losing her home.
She mentioned that when preparing for a fire, an unusual sensation occurs where your mind becomes frantic, questioning things like “What should I take? What can I leave behind?” It’s almost overpowering in its complexity.
Reflecting on our home packing process, it struck me that despite having a limited wardrobe myself – just two pairs of jeans and two shirts – I seemed to have overlooked gathering more items, given the abundance of clothing I have for my children.
I’m grateful that I managed to grab something in the chaos, which turned out to be fortunate. What matters most is that we’re safe and made it out. However, the situation was so panic-inducing that a part of me wanted to leave things behind, only to immediately think ‘I’ll return! Of course I’ll return!’
I’m sending heartfelt wishes to everyone facing similar challenges, as well as my dear friends and family members. Grateful for the fact that we’re all healthy and blessed with our kids.
‘I acknowledge this, and I’m making an effort to concentrate on feeling grateful. The sensation is like a series of waves, quite intense.’
As a die-hard fan, I can’t help but feel a pang of sorrow upon seeing the heartbreaking images from DailyMail.com, revealing the destruction of the beloved abode of Heidi and Spencer – their home, tragically reduced to ashes by the ferocious Palisades fires.
Only the blackened front gate and a section of the burnt exterior wall made from stucco remain standing in what was once the house.
Scattered heaps of rubble can be found across the premises, along with charred vegetation that used to adorn the garden in front of the house.
Apart from their house being damaged, Spencer’s parents unfortunately suffered the same fate and also lost their home to the fire as well.
Spencer posted a picture on his Instagram Stories, showing what was left of his parents’ home. He captioned it, “My parents’ house is gone,” followed by a series of weeping emojis.
The well-known duo from The Hills expressed shock and sorrow while discussing their recent loss on TikTok.
Across different TikTok videos, Heidi, aged 38, became visibly upset as she grappled with the devastation caused by the fire, which had claimed her home.
Whilst seated on the couch with one of her kids, Heidi tearfully expressed, ‘Our home has been lost, it’s heartbreaking,’ and later added, ‘All that you’ve tirelessly built up…’
In a soothing diversion, her little one occasionally patted her face, causing her to grin. She concluded the video with a chuckle, saying “Thank you.
In a different video, I reassured everyone that my family and I are secure, albeit with a heavy heart, as I also shared the unfortunate news of losing our home.
In a heart-wrenching incident, we unfortunately lost our house in the fire. However, we are grateful that we are safe and sound. I want to express my sincere gratitude to everyone who has reached out, your prayers and thoughts mean so much to us. She said this with growing emotion, “There are no words.
Spencer attempted to cheer himself up on Wednesday with some bagels.
On Tuesday, the former resident who witnessed the fire approaching his house expressed shock and acknowledged that his video portrayal seemed rather unsettled.
‘If both your home and your parents’ home get burned down, leaving us with nothing, there might be just one thing capable of offering some comfort – a bag full of bagels,’ he said cheerfully.
It’s clear that I’m taken aback and my thoughts are disorganized, so what you’re seeing might seem unusually strange to me.
According to sources, the home of Spencer and Heidi was entirely consumed by a fire that occurred on Tuesday.
Thankfully, I managed to ensure that the family of four, comprising myself, my partner, and our two boys, vacated the premises safely earlier in the day, well ahead of the encroaching fire.
However, they are said to be distraught by the staggering loss.
As a devoted follower, I found myself among the over 30,000 individuals who were forced to leave our homes as a devastating wildfire swept through the prestigious Pacific Palisades neighborhood, a favorite haunt for celebrities. The blaze scorched close to 3,000 acres and left countless structures, including dozens of houses, in ruins.
Many famous people are being compelled to leave their expensive, lavish mansions in the coastal region of Los Angeles, due to three massive wildfires that are dangerously close to destroying the entire city.
Actor James Woods, who has been nominated for an Oscar, and his family left their home in the Palisades area due to a rapidly spreading wildfire approaching. They did so before knowing the current state of their house following the evacuation.
In addition, Woods stated that he and several nearby residents are now uninsured since a significant insurer reportedly terminated numerous policies about four months back.
Actor Mark Hamill from Star Wars shared that he was hurriedly evacuated from his Malibu residence last Tuesday evening. As he neared the Pacific Coast Highway, he reported small fires erupting on either side of the road. He described the fire as the most terrifying one since 1993.
66-year-old actor Steve Guttenberg, famous for his role in Police Academy, swiftly jumped into action when a fire broke out in the Palisades neighborhood. Instead of standing aside, he decided to help the firefighters by moving vehicles to create space for approaching fire trucks.
Eugene Levy, affectionately known as the honorary mayor of Pacific Palisades, admitted that he found himself stuck in traffic caused by residents leaving the area.
However, even those who managed to reach safety are now fervently hoping for a miraculous outcome, such as Formula One heiress Petra Ecclestone and her spouse Sam Palmer, who departed along with their family.
Another flare-up, known as the Eaton Fire, ignited approximately 30 miles inward in Altadena, close to Pasadena, and rapidly expanded from 200 acres to over 1,000 acres within just a few hours, as reported by Cal Fire.
Mandy Moore along with her three kids has vacated their residence in Pasadena due to the ongoing, devastating fire that’s moving towards the west. At 40 years old, this beloved actress from ‘This Is Us’ assures everyone that she, her family, and their pets are all safe.
Another wildfire, known as the Hurst Fire, also ignited in Sylmar, located within the San Fernando Valley northwest of Los Angeles. This development led to the evacuation of certain neighboring residents.
