Heidi Klum, known for her amazing Halloween costumes, has started getting fans excited for this year’s look with a sneak peek at what’s to come. She’s officially launching into autumn with a tantalizing hint of her upcoming transformation.
Every year, the 52-year-old supermodel gets her fans really excited as October 31st approaches. That’s when she finally reveals her incredibly detailed and impressive costume.
For Halloween in years past, she’s gone as E.T., a large worm, Betty Boop, Fiona from Shrek, and even as what she imagines herself looking like at 95 years old. It’s always a creative costume!
I’ve been following this closely, and she just shared a really intriguing Instagram post! It’s a peek at what looks like a work-in-progress – a plaster cast of the facial prosthetic she’s planning to wear this year. It’s definitely a mysterious reveal, and it seems like it might not be quite finished yet. Facial prosthetics are such an art form, and I’m fascinated to see how this one develops!
Displayed on a metal stand, the mask features a strange design that hints Heidi might remember her E.T. costume from last year and decide to dress as a space alien once more.
I’m already so excited! She hinted at even more to come in her post, and tagged prosthetic makeup designer Mike Marino – he’s the genius who transformed Colin Farrell into The Penguin! It’s amazing to see the work that goes into creating such iconic looks, and I can’t wait to see what she shares next. This is just the beginning, she said, and I totally believe her!

Last year, she and her husband, Tom Kaulitz, 36, went with an E.T. the Extra Terrestrial theme for their costumes. They each dressed as a different version of the main character from Steven Spielberg’s film.
Tom resembled the alien E.T. as he initially appeared, landing on Earth without clothes. Heidi, however, looked like E.T. after being dressed up with a wig, makeup, and other accessories by some children.
A year before, she transformed into a peacock, and it took nine acrobats to create the illusion of its feathers and claws.
Heidi is well-known for going all-out with her costumes. She once dedicated 10 hours to having special effects makeup and prosthetics applied to her body so she could dress up as a giant rainworm.
She started this practice in 2000, displaying her model physique in very tight black leather clothing that gave off a somewhat provocative and edgy vibe.
Over the years, she’s become known for her incredibly creative and daring costumes. These have included characters like Fiona from Shrek, a fearsome, man-eating alien, and even Michael Jackson as the werewolf from the iconic Thriller music video.
She’s found inspiration in many different places, including iconic figures like Betty Boop and Cleopatra, historical references such as Lady Godiva, and even elements from Hindu mythology and the character Jessica Rabbit.
Just over ten years ago, she became famous for a playful stunt: dressing up *as herself* when she was 95 years old. She transformed her appearance so completely that, as she explained to the New York Post: ‘No one recognized me, and I nearly had to convince everyone to let me into my own party!‘

Heidi admitted she’d had a few costume problems in the past, like the time she famously dressed as the forbidden fruit from the Garden of Eden.
She shared a funny story: ‘When I was nearing my due date – nine months pregnant – I was really focused on protecting my baby bump. So, I decided to wear a costume that looked like a large apple.’
But the issue with that plan was my size – I was too big to fit in a regular car. So, I had to rent a convertible at the very last minute just to be able to get to the party.
She explained: ‘I was unable to drink water because I couldn’t lift my arms high enough to reach my mouth, and I couldn’t even sit up. It wasn’t a pleasant experience – I hadn’t really considered how difficult it would be!’
