Heavily pregnant Love Island Australia star marries in VERY unconventional wedding in a Sydney hotel room with baby bump on show in revealing gown

Phoebe Thompson has married her partner in a very unconventional wedding

I’m so thrilled for her! The gorgeous Love Island Australia star recently tied the knot with her fiancé, Colin Evans. They had a sweet and intimate wedding ceremony in a Sydney hotel this weekend, and she’s absolutely glowing – especially with their little one on the way! It’s such a beautiful time for them both.

The 34-year-old shared photos from their wedding on Instagram, explaining that after six years together, they wanted a simple celebration.

Phoebe, who is expecting her first child with Colin, revealed she and her husband had a small wedding ceremony in a hotel room before their son arrives.

We had to reschedule our wedding because our baby was due around the same time. The smaller, more private ceremony ended up being even better than we imagined.

Phoebe mentioned she wants to celebrate and get in shape for their future wedding after the baby arrives, playfully referring to them as ‘Mr. & Mrs. Evans’.

In the photos, the reality star wore a strikingly unconventional wedding dress that clearly showed off her prominent baby bump.

Colin, who works with the clothing brand Mental, looked dapper in a casual black suit and T-shirt.

The couple got married in a room overlooking the Harbour Bridge, and then enjoyed a romantic dinner together.

Phoebe shared the news of her engagement to Colin in January. She had previously kept their relationship private, only recently revealing his identity.

She announced the happy news on Instagram with an unusual photo of her and her partner, posing nude together.

A private photo showed the couple naked in bed, covered by a white sheet.

I was so excited to see Phoebe showing off her incredible diamond ring! She held her hand up for the cameras, and honestly, it was stunning – a real showstopper!

She simply captioned the post with a ring emoji.

Earlier this year, Phoebe shared that she’s been dealing with severe nausea and vomiting during pregnancy, as well as feeling depressed during her prenatal period.

‘I was fighting for my life in the first trimester,’ she wrote online.

A year ago, I was hoping and working towards creating the life I always wanted, and things started falling into place. I was overjoyed to welcome a healthy baby, but the pregnancy itself was incredibly challenging.

Phoebe explained that she did not want to ‘sugarcoat’ her experience.

‘For many women, pregnancy isn’t all glow and rainbows,’ she wrote.

Oh my god, it’s just… ten months of pure hell. Honestly, it feels like being on *Survivor*, but instead of challenges, it’s just constant nausea. I’m talking throwing up, dry heaving, feeling totally drained of everything good, and just… completely wrecked, usually doubled over the toilet in the middle of the night. It’s awful, but I’m strangely fascinated by it, you know?

The reality star shared that the last few months have been a deeply humbling experience. She’s felt a mix of emotions – excitement, fear, gratitude, and even feeling lost and powerless – all at the same time.

‘It wasn’t morning sickness – it was all day and night.’

The TV star shared her experience with severe depression during pregnancy, explaining that she hadn’t understood the condition before going through it herself.

I hardly felt like myself during pregnancy. I’d imagined being an energetic and healthy mom-to-be, but instead, I was stuck in bed and felt completely exhausted.

I struggled to feel grateful for my pregnancy and felt guilty about it. I doubted myself, wondering if I was strong enough or a good enough person to be a mother.

Phoebe shared that she’s now in her third trimester and feeling improved, though she’s still dealing with some physical difficulties.

Phoebe first gained recognition when she paired up with another contestant on the Australian reality show Love Island in 2019.

It was the first same-sex couple in the franchise’s history.

Phoebe has transitioned into adult modeling and now runs her own website with subscription content.

Her site contains nude photos and videos, which are available to paying subscribers.

In March 2022, Phoebe faced criticism for asking fans to pay for subscriptions to her website, with the stated intention of donating the proceeds to help people in Queensland impacted by floods.
