As a devoted Hearthstone player with years of experience under my belt, I’m thrilled to see the July 16 update bringing back some fan-favorite cards and introducing new content. The return of Splish-Splash Whelp and Demolition Renovator is a welcome change for me, as both cards have unique strategies that add depth to the gameplay experience.
Here’s what to expect in the July 16 update.
As a Hearthstone gamer, I’m excited to dive into the upcoming patch! In this next update, we’ve got some long-awaited returns: Splish-Splash Whelp and Demolition Renovator are making their comeback. Plus, a fresh new Arena season is upon us, bringing new challenges and rewards. Lastly, a bunch of pesky bugs have been squashed to ensure smoother gameplay for all!
Hearthstone patch notes July 16
Starting July 16 with the Hearthstone update, the previously banned Splish-Splash Whelp minion in Standard game mode will be unbanned. As announced by Blizzard, this Dragon will now cost 3 mana and have stats of 3/2 instead of its previous cost of 2 mana and 1/1.

Hearthstone patch 30.0 notes continued
In patch 30.0, the Demolition Renovator minion will go back to being freely obtainable in the Core Set. It’s expected that this card will remain accessible until the next rotation of the regular Core Set. Concurrently, Arena’s dual-class mode is coming back with a new season in patch 30.0.

Hearthstone gets Perils in Paradise event
Starting from patch 30.0, there will be an in-game event named “Perils in Paradise” taking place. The duration of this event is from July 30 to August 20. Participants can earn six Perils in Paradise card packs and the Icecream Sai Death Knight hero skin as rewards.

Players can anticipate encountering Buddies in Hearthstone Battlegrounds until patch 30.2. Prior to this patch, the Buddy Up spell will be reintroduced. For a complete rundown of bug fixes, check Blizzard’s official website.
