Hearthstone Into the Emerald Dream release date
The upcoming expansion for Hearthstone, titled “Into the Emerald Dream,” is set to launch on March 25. This marks the first expansion in the Year of the Raptor. With it comes a fresh batch of 145 cards, along with the new keywords Imbue and Dark Gift, as well as Wild Gods, among other exciting additions to the game.
Absolutely, with the arrival of a fresh expansion comes a new Hearthstone Rewards Track loaded with gold and cards. As announced by Blizzard, players have an opportunity to acquire a complimentary Into the Emerald Dream card pack just by dropping by the in-game shop anytime between March 25 and April 15!
Hearthstone’s Imbue keyword
In this expansion, one key term to note is “Imbue”. This term appears across the Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman classes. The first time you play an “Imbue” card, it provides a new hero ability, which then progressively improves as more “Imbue” cards are played.
Dark Gifts in Hearthstone
As a dedicated fan, I’m thrilled about the introduction of Dark Gifts in the latest update to Into the Emerald Dream. This intriguing keyword is a secret weapon for my Death Knight, Demon Hunter, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior characters. Essentially, it serves as an upgrade for my minions, making them even more potent, especially when combined with Discover options. It’s like finding hidden treasures in the game!
During an interview with Xpsp, Hearthstone’s senior game designer Aleco Pors explained that Dark Gifts are centered around value as they produce additional cards in a manner reminiscent of the Discover mechanic. If Dark Gifts gain popularity, they could potentially influence the game meta towards more midrange and value-oriented gameplay styles.
Wild Gods and Choose One in Hearthstone
Be mindful of the enigmatic Wild Deities. As per Blizzard’s announcement, every Hearthstone class will be graced with a legendary Wild God minion! In addition, the Choose One mechanic, previously exclusive to Druids, is now being extended to additional classes through Into the Emerald Dream.
