I’m so excited about the new Hearthstone expansion, Across the Timeways! It’s bringing in some really cool stuff – like the Rewind and Fabled keywords, which sound amazing. And of course, there are 145 new cards! I can’t wait to start building new decks and trying everything out.
Blizzard Entertainment recently announced Across the Timeways as the newest expansion for Hearthstone. Along with the announcement, a video was released explaining the upcoming Rewind and Fabled keywords and showcasing some of the new cards. Continue reading to find out more about this new Hearthstone expansion, including the Across the Timeways release date and a preview of the cards.
New Hearthstone expansion release date
The new expansion, Across the Timeways, launches on Nov. 4, adding 145 new cards and a fresh storyline starring Chromie. The developers explain that Chromie, the Bronze Dragon, has learned that Murozond, Lord of the Infinite, is attempting to disrupt all timelines. To prevent this, Chromie needs to gather assistance from legendary heroes spanning the past, future, and different realities – and that even includes the Windrunner sisters!

Hearthstone: Fabled keyword explained
The Fabled keyword allows players to use heroes and icons from different points in Warcraft history – the past, future, and even alternate timelines. When you play a Fabled hero, it also adds extra, powerful legendary cards to your deck automatically. For example, if you include Ranger General Sylvanas in your deck, you’ll also automatically get Ranger Captain Alleria and Ranger Initiate Vereesa added as well.

Hearthstone: Rewind keyword explained
The Rewind keyword allows players to replay cards that have random effects, giving them another opportunity to get a more favorable result. For example, if a player uses Semi-Stable Portal and summons the Wisp minion, the Rewind keyword lets them try casting the spell again in hopes of getting a different, and potentially better, card.

Hearthstone’s Across the Timeways cards
Besides the Windrunner sisters and the Semi-Stable Portal, Blizzard Entertainment showcased several new cards in a recent Hearthstone video and official announcement. Some of the revealed cards are Portal Vanguard, Mister Clocksworth, Gelbin of Tomorrow, Chronological Aura, Timeway Warden, Divergence, and many others.
