As a fervent admirer of the Irwin family, their extraordinary lives, and their unwavering dedication to conservation, I find myself deeply moved by Bindi and Chandler’s journey. The tender bond they share with their families is truly heartwarming.

Bindi Irwin expresses her sadness as her loved ones and family get ready for the arrival of Hurricane Milton, which is set to impact Chandler Powell’s hometown in Florida.

Hurricane Milton has tragically taken several lives, and officials are urging anyone still in the affected areas to move to higher ground immediately.

In St. Lucie County, Florida, the Sheriff reported that there have been several deaths as a result of a series of tornadoes prior to the anticipated landing of Hurricane Milton on Wednesday.

An Emergency due to Flash Flooding was announced, triggered by the surging waters from Hurricane Milton, which came ashore as a Category 3 hurricane on Wednesday evening.

Bindi posted a picture she took during a beautiful sunset in Tampa, Florida, during her recent visit to the United States. As the world anxiously anticipates news about the upcoming disaster.

In a heartfelt message, she conveyed that her family, friends, and anyone in the path of Hurricane Milton, our thoughts and affection for you are immense during these challenging times. As you brace yourself for this destructive hurricane, know that our hearts ache deeply with you.

At the moment, Bindi Irwin and her husband Chandler reside in Queensland, but they frequently visit Florida to catch up with his parents, Chris and Shannan, as well as other family members, who form a big part of their extended family.

In November 2013, Chandler (a former professional wakeboarder) and his family had their initial encounter at the Australia Zoo. They were there because they were in town participating in a championship.

He ended up on a tour being given by the Irwin family, and the two hit it off instantly.

Chandler hails from Seffner, Florida, with his folks residing not far off in the outskirts of Tampa. He also has a brother named Cameron, who’s hitched to a woman named Kristin.

On a stormy Wednesday, I found myself huddled indoors as torrential downpours drenched the Tampa Bay region, a bustling home to over two million souls like me. The National Weather Service issued a Flash Flood Emergency, with rainfall accumulating between 10 to 14 inches, turning our usual sunny haven into a watery maze. As an ardent weather enthusiast, this dramatic event left me on the edge of my seat, hoping for the safety and well-being of my fellow residents in this flooded cityscape.

The emergency will last until at least 2:30 am local time.

Approximately 10 to 14 inches of rain have accumulated. Already, flash floods are happening, as warned by the National Weather Service. This is an EXTREMELY DANGEROUS SCENARIO. IMMEDIATELY MOVE TO HIGHER ELEVATIONS!

2024 sees Milton as the fifth storm to hit U.S. soil, with Tampa Bay’s mayor warning that conditions will be challenging.

According to the National Hurricane Center, the storm came ashore on Siesta Key, an island in the Gulf of Mexico close to Sarasota, Florida, packing continuous winds of up to 120 miles every hour.

Already, over a million people in the region are without power due to the storm.

On Tuesday (AEDT), as thousands of evacuees faced gridlocked highways, struggled with fuel scarcity and flight cancellations, the mayor of Tampa issued a stark warning to those opting to remain: “If you decide to stay, you’re putting your life at risk.

The most significant risk arises from a towering wall of water, referred to as a storm surge, that Milton is expected to generate. Initially estimated at approximately fifteen feet (4.57 meters), the storm surge may not reach its initially feared height, but it’s predicted to break the record at an impressive 12 feet (3.6 meters).

According to the National Weather Service, there is a Flash Flood Warning in effect for most parts of Tampa, including where Shannan and Chris reside, as there are significant risks to both people and possessions.

Approximately a year ago, the entire Irwin family traveled to the United States for Thanksgiving celebrations.

Terri and Robert Irwin travelled with Bindi and Chandler to unite both sides of the family.

On a particular day, the team visited Walt Disney World, and together they had their picture taken in front of the iconic Cinderella Castle within the park.

Bindi shared a picture from her visit to Chandler’s remarkable family during Thanksgiving, cherishing the magical moments we spent together,” (paraphrased version)

During that period, a source close to the situation told Women’s Day that the prominent pair were seriously considering Florida as one of their potential locations.

As a fervent admirer, let me express that for Chandler, Florida holds a special place – it’s where his cherished family resides, a connection he deeply yearns for. In pursuit of love with Bindi, he made the profound sacrifice of leaving behind everything else.

A reliable source near the family confirmed that Bindi expressed a desire for a new environment and a more relaxed rhythm. With her brother Robert taking on increased responsibilities at Australia Zoo, it seems like the moment is ripe for this transition.

In the year 2021, Chris and Shanon embarked on a flight from Florida to Australia to have their initial meeting with their granddaughter.

The meeting coincided with Grace’s first birthday on March 25.

‘The last three weeks have been such a blessing spending time with you.’

On March 25th, 2020, Bindi and Chandler exchanged vows, followed by the arrival of their child precisely a year later on the same day they got married.

They chose to have their wedding under strict Covid-19 guidelines, which excluded guests, thus Chandler’s parents were unable to be present at the ceremony.

However, Chandler’s parents ‘fully supported’ their decision to ‘just get married’.

On the special occasion of my beloved mother-in-law’s birthday, I can’t help but express my heartfelt gratitude for our cherished friendship. I am truly in awe of the remarkable woman she is, Shannan, and the positive impact she has on those around her.

Earlier this year, she expressed her heartfelt sentiments by saying: ‘Many happy returns of the day to my wonderful mother-in-law and father-in-law! Shannan and Chris, I hold you both dear and am incredibly fortunate to have you as part of my life.’

Shortly after Grace’s birth, she also spoke about her ‘dream’ for her daughter to live in America.

In her heartfelt post, Bindi expressed that when their lovely daughter was born, she felt an urge to embark on a grand journey with her. Given that her husband hails from Florida and her mother is from Oregon, Bindi wished for their child to explore and immerse herself in the vast wilderness that America has to offer.

‘My dream is to take her to every USA National Park before she’s 18. If you have advice, please share. I can’t wait to make this dream a reality…’
