BBC Radio presenter Andy Ball has died, it was confirmed on Monday.

It’s with great sadness that we must inform you about the passing of our dear colleague and friend, Andy Ball.
For almost three decades, Andy served at BBC Merseyside in various roles, including hosting, reporting, and being a member of the executive team.
He had a deep affection for the river and found immense pleasure in visiting various communities spread throughout all of Merseyside.
