A Life Hangs in the Balance (Nighttime Slayer) begins as Marie Heaton finds herself captive by the hands of serial killer Alan Galloway. With Christmas approaching and yearning for reconciliation with her distant family, Marie’s primary objective is to return home. However, Alan has other plans, seeking a means to clear his name from trouble. Together, they navigate through treacherous snowy landscapes in an attempt to evade their captors before it’s too late.
Marie does her best to make it through, but Alan holds the reins of the situation. Yet, as the evening progresses, the game of chase between them grows increasingly thrilling.
