Just a heads-up – this article has some little spoilers for Season 28 of The Voice! If you haven’t watched the latest episodes yet, I’d recommend catching up – you can stream it all with a Peacock subscription. Trust me, it’s worth it to avoid getting anything ruined!
Team Niall’s Aiden Ross won Season 28 of The Voice after a closely fought competition. Viewers can anticipate the show’s return for Season 29 in 2026, which is being called Battle of Champions and will feature returning coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Adam Levine. While other popular coaches may join in future seasons, Michael Bublé might not be back, and if the gossip is true, there’s a heartwarming reason why.
As a huge fan of The Voice, I’ve been really impressed with Michael Bublé as a coach – he actually won his first two seasons! But apparently, juggling the show with his family life in Vancouver is proving tough. The US Sun is reporting that constantly traveling between Los Angeles for filming and being with his wife and kids back home is really taking a toll on him, and it’s maybe not as glamorous as it looks from the outside.
Michael is prioritizing his family and plans to spend much more time living in Canada. He wants to be a consistently present father to his children and a supportive husband, and doesn’t want to fall into the pattern of a distant celebrity dad. He’s eager to trade the hectic lifestyle of Hollywood and the demands of filming for a more grounded life at home.
According to a source, Michael Bublé’s busy filming schedule for The Voice is making it incredibly hard for him to balance work and family life. While it hasn’t been officially announced, this could be a strong reason if he were to leave the show. Bublé has four children, ranging in age from 12 to 3, and the source suggests being away from them for extended periods is a significant challenge.
He can’t have both… being on the show and being there for his family full time.
Michael Bublé has been a fantastic presence on The Voice for three seasons, famously being the first coach to spin around in his chair for a contestant. His playful friendship with Adam Levine has also been a highlight. While Levine and Blake Shelton are a legendary pairing, it’s great to see a similar fun connection develop with Bublé.
Just because Michael Bublé might leave The Voice doesn’t mean he’s gone for good. Coaches have left and returned to the show before, so a return isn’t out of the question. Since the show hasn’t been confirmed beyond season 29, fans don’t need to panic yet. And even if he does leave permanently, it sounds like he’d have a good reason, and it’s understandable if he wants to take a break.
There’s always a lot of talk about what’s next for The Voice, including which coaches will be back. Recent reports suggest the show is willing to spend big to secure a popular lineup for Season 30, with Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, Gwen Stefani, and Kelly Clarkson as their ideal choices. While nothing is confirmed yet, NBC is likely hoping to bring Shelton and Levine back together, as their on-screen friendship was a highlight for many viewers. Of course, anything can happen, and plans could change.
We’ll find out more when the show returns on February 23.
