The television series based on HBO’s The Conjuring has gotten a thrilling refresh following the financial triumph of the most recent movie in the horror franchise at the box office.
The latest addition to the Conjuring series, titled The Conjuring: Last Rites, had its premiere last week with the highest opening weekend earnings in the franchise’s history. To date, it has grossed over $200 million at the box office, having started production with a budget of just $55 million.
After the movie had a successful debut at theaters, it’s been announced that the television adaptation has secured a showrunner, according to Variety.
