HBO Max Announces DC’s Final TV Show of 2025

HBO Max has announced the last DC TV show coming out this year. 2025 is set to be a huge year for DC, particularly with the launch of the new DC Universe (DCU) led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, starting with the new Superman movie. The excitement continues with the return of Peacemaker for its second season, which is building on the DCU’s connected storyline by introducing ideas like Checkmate and the planet Salvation.

Beyond the main DC Universe, Amazon Prime Video recently released an animated story called Bat-Fam, which showed a fresh take on Batman’s family. Now, details have surfaced about DC’s last TV show planned for 2025. HBO Max has confirmed that Season 3A of Batwheels will debut on December 5, 2025, and will be the final DC series released that year.

Cartoon Network’s Batwheels is a first-of-its-kind Batman show designed for preschoolers, and it’s been popular enough to earn a third season! The show features a team of heroic vehicles – like the Batmobile, Batgirl Cycle, Batwing, and Batcomputer – who work together to fight crime.

I’m really excited about this new Batman project – it’s one of four fresh takes on the character coming out, and the voice cast is incredible! Ethan Hawke as Batman? Yes, please! And I love the creative choices with Jacob Bertrand voicing Bam, the Batmobile, Gina Rodriguez as Catwoman, and Xolo Maridueña as Snowy. It sounds like a really fun and unique approach.

Every Upcoming DC Show Expected To Release in 2026

Lanterns

The upcoming series Lanterns was recently pushed back from an early 2026 release to late summer, according to reports. Despite the delay, there’s still a lot of excitement about the show, as it’s expected to build on the universe James Gunn is creating for DC. Lanterns will further explore the world of the Green Lantern Corps, following Guy Gardner (played by Nathan Fillion) who first appeared in Superman.

The series Lanterns will follow DC heroes Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they investigate a murder mystery in the American Midwest, a case that may have huge consequences for the entire universe. What’s unique about Lanterns is its blend of realistic, down-to-earth storytelling with fantastical, cosmic elements, all building towards the events of Man of Tomorrow – a project expected to feature Aaron Pierre as John Stewart.

Batman: Caped Crusader Season 2

Season 1 of Batman: Caped Crusader offers a fresh look at the iconic hero, reimagining him in 1940s Gotham City. Batman faces a city teeming with dangerous criminals and dishonest authorities, testing his limits like never before.

The second season of Batman: Caped Crusader will introduce a significantly altered version of the Joker, according to co-showrunner James Tucker, who shared this information with TopMob.

As a huge Batman fan, I’m really excited to see where things go after the Joker’s appearance. Beyond that, I’m hoping they really dig into the fallout from Harvey Dent’s death – that was a massive moment! And I’m also curious to see how Batman deals with almost crossing the line and killing someone in the last episode of the first season. It feels like there’s a lot of emotional weight to unpack there, and I’m eager to see how it impacts his journey.

My Adventures With Superman Season 3

Season 3 of My Adventures with Superman is a new installment of the DC TV series that will expand on the history and background of Superman.

After the dramatic events of Season 2, which saw heroes and villains team up to stop Brainiac, Season 3 introduces exciting new storylines. We’ll see Superman and Supergirl working side-by-side to defend Earth, an unexpected partnership between Lex Luthor and Deathstroke, and the debut of Superboy.

The team-up between Lex Luthor and Deathstroke in My Adventures with Superman has sparked theories that it could lead to the creation of the Legion of Doom. This development is raising the stakes for Superman and making the show a standout addition to DC’s animated universe.
