Hawk Tuah girl reveals how she REALLY feels about infamous nickname after becoming viral meme

As I delve into this intriguing tale, I find myself captivated by the spirited and unconventional spirit of Hailey Welch, aka ‘Hawk Tuah girl.’ Her vivaciousness and infectious humor are palpable in every word she speaks, making her an undeniable charmer.

Hawk Tuah Girl, also known as Haliey Welch, is prepared to progress beyond the character that catapulted her into internet fame.

22-year-old internet sensation, whose popularity soared following an open conversation about oral sex on TikTok in June, recently shared insights about her nickname during an episode of the dating show “West Date Ever” that aired on Tuesday.

She confessed to host and Summer House star West Wilson that she’s making an effort to distance herself from the title, preferring to be recognized simply by her given name instead of as ‘Ms Hawk’.

Despite wanting to distance herself from the label, Hailey is still eager to capitalize on her newfound fame.

She clarified that they are focusing more on podcasts and similar content. Additionally, they’ve discussed the possibility of creating a reality TV show.

After her date with Wilson concluded, Welch conceded that it was likely among the top-tier experiences she had ever encountered.

In another interview, Wilson expressed his desire to support Haliey in leaving the ‘Hawk Tuah’ nickname behind.

He explained to Page Six that she had been unexpectedly thrust into the limelight, a position she didn’t ask for. Therefore, he wanted to assure her that his intentions weren’t to make her viral meme dominate every conversation.

‘I was curious to learn more about each person’s unique tale, and for her specifically, I aimed to understand her better so she could move beyond her past experiences associated with “Hawk Tuah”.’

Last July, Hailey applied for a trademark for her popular catchphrase, which gained notoriety when she started dishing out advice on sexual matters in the bustling streets of Nashville.

She launched her own company named ’16 Minutes LLC’ and applied to have complete rights to use her sensational line on merchandise items, including hats and t-shirts.

According to reports from DailyMail.com, Welch aims to register a trademark for apparel items and services related to entertainment, specifically comedy shows and podcasts that cover both humor and current affairs.

To fulfill the requirements, Welch additionally provided a photograph showcasing a hat she collaborated on with Fathead Threads, a Tennessee-based company. This beige and brown hat carries her phrase ‘Hawk Tuah ’24. Spit On That Thing’ in bold red lettering.

Although Welch readily dispensed sexual guidance to countless individuals, she’s left her followers guessing about the name of her business.

16 Minutes LLC, located in the vibrant city of Nashville, Tennessee, could symbolize my ambition to transcend the brief limelight of a viral moment following my captivating interview.

The potential name for the new business could subtly reference her transformative phrase: “You need to acknowledge that hawk tuah and spit on it, don’t you? Understand what I mean?” This version consists of 20 words.

As reported by TMZ, Welch and her representatives intend to issue legal notices, known as “cease and desist” letters, to businesses aiming to capitalize on the term ‘Hawk Tuah’ for their merchandise.

In an unexpected turn of events, I find myself embarking on a fresh venture and organizing my affairs differently – all this, following my candid conversation with Brianna Lapaglia on the Plan Bri Uncut podcast where I admitted my initial reservations about being identified solely as ‘Hawk Tuah’ girl.

On July 1st, it was disclosed that she had left her position at the factory and taken up management duties instead. The video clip of her demonstrating techniques to ‘drive a man wild in bed’ for Tim & Dee TV garnered over three million views on YouTube following its broadcast on June 19th.

When inquired about her parents’ opinion on her viral remark, Welch responded: ‘They find it hilarious… they never can predict what I might say next.’

Originally, Welch chose to reside in a secluded area of Tennessee, living with her loved ones. To safeguard her from the limelight, her friends and family constructed a barrier around her.

Ever since she found herself under the public eye, she clarified that she’s been approached with shocking proposals by enthusiastic fans who tried to contact her via the person she collaborates with for selling exclusive ‘Hawk Tuah’ merchandise.

She expressed: “Apparently, the man who makes my hats was recently offered $600 for me to spit into a container and then sell it. How repulsive! Isn’t that simply despicable?”

She began working with Brianna Chickenfry, better known as Lapaglia, only two days following their performance together on stage with Zach Bryan at the Nashville Nissan Stadium, where Lapaglia’s partner is based.

During an extensive conversation, Welch clarified that she indeed went out for drinks that night. However, her statement was meant humorously, and she didn’t intend any harm or malice with it.

The rising star was then quizzed on who her celebrity crush is in a game called ‘Hawk Tuah or Nah.’

Initially, Lapaglia inquired about Welch’s feelings towards her country singer boyfriend, advising her to exercise caution.

In the viral video, Welch and Chelsea Bradford, who was standing beside her, burst into laughter prior to informing Lapaglia, “We adore you, but we also need to say ‘hawk tuah’.”

The duo displayed curiosity towards Morgan Wallen’s music. Yet, they failed to identify Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Wide Receiver Antonio Brown.

At first, they didn’t identify Dave Portnoy, the proprietor of Barstool Sports. However, once Lapaglia presented them with a photo, they ended up giving him a “Hawk” (recognition or approval).

Welch and Bradford showed hesitation when asked about professional boxer and YouTuber Jake Paul, however, they swiftly declined the opportunity to endorse or promote (support publicly) former President Donald Trump.

Later on, Lapaglia inquired about the internet star’s feelings regarding being recognized as the Hawk Tuah girl, a title Welch expressed discomfort with and prefers not to be identified by for the remainder of her life.

Additionally, Welch refuted claims concerning the professional background of herself and her family, which had been circulating online. At first, it was reported that Welch was a teacher who lost her job following the release of the video, and that her father was a clergyman. However, these allegations were unfounded.

‘I worked in a spring factory, I’m not a school teacher,’ she said.

‘My father is so far from a preacher, it’s crazy.’

After achieving fame, I decided to leave my job behind. Now, my plan is to embark on a journey across the country, participating in various shows, podcasts, and other opportunities that come my way.
