Cornwall-set drama Rose of Nevada has debuted with a perfect Rotten Tomatoes rating.
The movie features George MacKay from “Pride” and Callum Turner from “The Captain,” portraying two individuals who embark on a job, yet the vessel they board is no ordinary one.
30 years ago, the ship “Rose of Nevada” disappeared, leaving the nearby fishing community in a state of poverty. However, one day it reappeared, and the villagers strongly believe that it needs to sail out on the ocean once more to revive their fortunes.

According to The Daily Beast, it’s unlike any other modern film, and Little White Lies described it as an emotionally stirring and unsettling experience.
According to The Guardian’s review, instead of a typical horror film, director Mark Jenkin has crafted something unusual and multifaceted. There’s an element of peculiarity and mystery that permeates it from the very start.

Deadline praised the two leads for having a “gnomish” quality that suits the film’s ambiguity.
In addition to MacKay and Turner, the ensemble also includes Rosalind Eleazar from Slow Horses, Edward Rowe known for his role in Bait, as well as Francis Magee and Mary Woodvine who are renowned for their work on EastEnders.
The movie is directed by Mark Jenkin, a well-recognized British director who won a BAFTA for his first feature film titled “Bait.
Rose of Nevada will screen next month in the UK as part of the BFI London Film Festival.
