Haunted Natalie Wood artifacts come to life on anniversary of her suspicious drowning: ‘There is something the public don’t know’

People close to the late actress Natalie Wood, including museum staff and friends, say her spirit seems restless following a number of unsettling events.

Zak Bagans, who hosts the show Ghost Adventures, says strange things have been happening at his Haunted Museum in Las Vegas, possibly linked to items related to the death of the infamous criminal, Ted Woods.

Natalie Wood tragically died in 1981 at the age of 43. She drowned off the coast of California after falling from her husband, Robert Wagner’s, yacht during a Thanksgiving weekend outing.

That evening, the actress was drinking with Wagner, actor Christopher Walken, and the ship’s captain, David Davern, all aboard the Splendour.

Wagner later confessed he and Walken argued fiercely about Wood’s career before the drowning.

The Academy Award-nominated actress first became famous playing Maria in the 1961 film West Side Story. Tragically, she died in a drowning accident during a break while filming Brainstorm with Christopher Walken, a movie intended to relaunch her career.

I couldn’t believe it when they finally reopened the investigation into Natalie’s death in 2011! It felt like a glimmer of hope. Then, in 2018, things really started to feel right when they named Robert Wagner a person of interest. It all made so much sense! They found inconsistencies in what he said, and the autopsy…oh, the autopsy revealed she had bruises on her arms and upper body. It was awful, but it confirmed what I – and so many others – had suspected all along. Something terrible happened to her, and he wasn’t telling the truth.

The case was closed in 2022, officially clearing Wagner, but people still speculate and create conspiracy theories about him.

Bagans claims he still feels the spirit of Wood at his museum, and he’s given the Daily Mail exclusive photos and videos that he says prove strange things are happening.

People have reported strange things happening, like seeing a shadowy figure on the wall, book pages turning on their own, and a glass display case unexpectedly breaking.

‘Her spirit is not at rest,’ Bagans told the Daily Mail on the 44th anniversary of her death.

There are still unanswered questions and hidden information surrounding her death, which is why she can’t find peace.

The Daily Mail reached out to representatives for Wagner and Walken for a statement, but they haven’t received a response yet.

Zak Bagans’s museum features chilling artifacts from the Splendour, items he acquired after speaking with Lana Wood, the sister of Davern and Wood, almost ten years ago.

A table—the one Wagner reportedly slammed a wine bottle on during a fight the night Wood drowned—is one of the items being examined.

Davern explained to Bagans that the impact from the bottle knocked over two candles that were also part of the museum’s exhibit.

I’ve been following Zak Bagans and the Haunted Museum for years, and it’s always been fascinating. One of the earliest and most chilling experiences reported happened in February 2017, not long after Zak acquired some new items. Tom Knapp, who’s worked with Zak on Ghost Adventures as a photographer, was alone in the museum and said he distinctly saw a shadowy figure—a person’s shadow—when there was no one else around. It really stuck with me and set the tone for all the strange happenings that would follow.

Knapp managed to photograph the shadow near a round window in the room displaying the Wood collection.

Bagans reported paranormal activity in the room. He described a sealed, heavy-duty display case containing exhibit items that unexpectedly fell apart, as if something inside was struggling to escape.

Zak Bagans shared new video with the Daily Mail showing a piece of glass breaking off from a display case and falling to the floor.

A strange video is circulating online showing people at a museum watching a book in a locked display case seemingly turn a page on its own.

While filming for their show ‘Ghost Adventures: Lockdown’ at the museum during the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, Zak Bagans said the ghost of William Wood suddenly showed up.

Let me tell you, I’ll never forget this. We were carefully placing a mannequin into the Natalie Wood exhibit, and as I was setting it down, I distinctly heard something and felt this…presence. It was a really unsettling moment, and it stuck with me ever since.

He felt like Wood was nearby, a strong and unsettling feeling, and at that very moment, he received an email from Davern.

Davern, writing from his home in the Philippines, reported that objects were mysteriously flying out of his closet.

A strange thing happened: a clock Davern received from Wood, which hadn’t worked for years, suddenly began to chime as he and a friend were talking about the actress.

According to Zak Bagans, Dennis Davern contacted him, deeply upset, claiming he felt Natalie Wood’s presence in his home. Bagans said he was also overcome with emotion and felt like crying.

After the drowning, Davern worked with Wagner for a year, but later stated he now believes Wagner was responsible for pushing Wood off the yacht. Wagner hasn’t publicly addressed Davern’s claims, and the Daily Mail was unable to reach him for comment.

Now 95 years old, Wagner stated in his memoirs that the various explanations surrounding Wood’s fall from the Splendour were simply guesses.

He insisted no one could say for sure what happened. She might have been trying to escape the disagreement, or she could have been securing the small boat. Ultimately, the truth remains unknown.
