Hasselhoff’s Ex’s Decades of Pain Before Shocking Suicide

For a number of decades, David Hasselhoff’s former spouse, Pamela Bach, endured severe bodily discomfort prior to her sudden death by suicide at the age of 62, as reported by one of her close friends.

For several years, Terry Ahern, the former representative of the late actress, disclosed to People that Bach struggled greatly in the wake of her 2003 motorcycle accident. This incident resulted in her being hospitalized with a fractured neck and spine.

The unexpected incident took place as she sat behind her former spouse, David, who momentarily lost grip and collided with a kerb on the pavement instead.

While he was thrown into a light pole after the wreck, Bach fell onto the shoulder of the road.

Ahern recalled how Bach spent ‘months in intensive care with crushed bones’ from the accident.

According to Ahern, as one grows older, previous injuries can lead to arthritis, which was the case with Pam. Her body was severely affected by the arthritis that originated from her accident, and it progressively caused more damage.

Ahern additionally portrayed his deceased friend as exceptionally kind, someone you’d likely encounter no greater kindness, and the least likely individual he could imagine who would take their own life.

He acknowledged it was surprising, as she expressed immense joy at becoming a grandmother – absolutely thrilled about it. Her enthusiasm was palpable.

In a subsequent conversation, Ahern shared: ‘The distressing aspect is, when you care deeply for someone and are well-acquainted with them, the initial thought that crosses your mind is — they harbored all this pain within themselves, and I never realized it. That must be truly agonizing to live with such torment.’

In 2007, she shared with the Irish Examiner that due to her motorcycle accident, she had been unable to walk for an entire year and had to use a wheelchair during that period.

2007 marked a year when I was told I wouldn’t walk again. Surprisingly, during that time, he only took me out on two occasions – one to witness Celine Dion live and another to a basketball game. He left the care of the housekeeper in my hands instead.

David Hasselhoff recounted in his 2007 memoir, “Making Waves: The Autobiography,” that he struggled not to faint when he encountered Bach, who was lying by the roadside. Her wrist had a protruding bone, several ribs were fractured, and all bones beneath her left knee were broken.

He penned down, ‘Though I wasn’t at fault for the accident, it was heart-wrenching to witness Pamela’s distress. Despite receiving top-notch medical care and expensive treatments, she underwent multiple surgeries and endured months of recovery.’

As her steadfast companion, I stood by her side, both physically and emotionally, at every consultation, every operation. Upon bringing her home, we were both disheartened by the leisurely pace of her healing process. The enforced idleness left me equally dejected, and this stagnation took a toll on our union. Contrary to expectations, instead of fortifying our bond, it pushed us further apart.

Three years on, he initiated a divorce proceeding, pointing out irresolvable conflicts as the reason – leading to a fierce dispute.

Their divorce was highly disputed; she alleged instances of domestic violence against him, and their heated debates over alimony persisted publicly until the year 2017.

The couple had two adult daughters: Hayley, aged 32, and Taylor, who is 34. Additionally, they leave behind a grandchild named London.

A spokesperson for Hasselhoff shared with DailyMail.com that our family is profoundly sorrowful due to the recent demise of Pamela Hasselhoff.

We greatly appreciate the abundance of kindness and compassion shown to us amidst our tough situation. However, we humbly ask for some solitude as we mourn and find our way through this trying period.

Bach’s daughter Hayley shared an image of Bach-Hasselhoff on her Instagram following her death.

On March 5, the body of Bach-Hasselhoff was found at her residence in Los Angeles following a period where her loved ones had not received any contact from her for several days and grew worried.
