It’s been buzzing that Beyoncé might be considering moving to The Cotswolds, as rumors suggest she recently flew over in a helicopter to inspect a grand house in this sought-after area of Oxfordshire.

The performer, aged 43, has just concluded the London segment of her Cowboy Carter tour, and it’s being reported that she’s been scoping out a rural property for possible purchase.

Previously, it emerged that Beyonce and Jay-Z had been contemplating a relocation to the United Kingdom, following the wildfires that ravaged Los Angeles earlier in 2020.

An insider has shared with The Oxford Mail: “For the past week, Beyoncé and Jay-Z have been traveling by helicopter between their London concerts to check out a 58-acre property.

She found a perfect UK residence for her family, situated near friends Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, as well as Simon Cowell and the Beckhams. This location offers a peaceful countryside escape when they are not in the city.

According to the report, Beyonce and Jay-Z’s visit occurred during the interval of her performances in the capital city. It was mentioned that the singer is said to have arrived at the Enstone Airfield.

According to their friend, the couple has shifted their attention towards the Cotswolds due to its open land and spaciousness. They have chosen to settle there instead.

According to a friend, Beyoncé prefers touring arrangements that make it seem routine for her children, so staying at hotels isn’t the best option.

In 2023, Beyonce and Jay-Z, who previously owned a property in Bel Air, set a new record for the most expensive house sale in California by purchasing a 40,000 square foot mansion for approximately $200 million ($150 million in British pounds). The definition of ‘normal’ can differ, but this extravagant real estate transaction certainly stands out.

‘They have two [UK] properties in mind,’ the friend added.

However, it appears that the property has been transferred to new owners, and based on the information available, it seems they didn’t pay significantly less than what they shelled out for their previous residence.

It’s quite uncommon to purchase two high-value properties costing millions within just a few months, even considering the numerous millionaires in this area.

In a modest calculation, it likely ran Ellen over half a million pounds for the expenses associated with such a drastic change of heart – potentially even exceeding tens of millions.

When DeGeneres initially relocated to England, she, having retired from the public eye following the conclusion of her popular talk show in 2022, was eager to leave swiftly and was willing to spend more than £2.5 million above the listed price for a property.

However, their peaceful rural lifestyle in the charming English countryside soon took an unexpected turn for the worse when the picturesque hideaway was suddenly overwhelmed by extraordinary floods, mere days following their move-in.

Powerful photos revealed that a six-bedroom house was enveloped by a swift-flowing surge of floodwater, after the destructive effects of Storm Bert in November last year.

The couple found themselves nearly isolated as a nearby creek connected to the River Thames, flowing past their home, overflowed its banks.

The roads encircling the hideout became unnavigable due to heavy flooding, reaching up to five feet deep – thereby stranding residents inside their own houses.

In my perspective, embarking on this new chapter presented its initial challenges for us, a pair of retirees, as we grappled with adapting to our countryside lifestyle.

After realizing that their old Land Rover Defender was just barely narrow enough to fit between the barrier posts limiting the size of vehicles entering their neighborhood, they discovered themselves in quite a predicament.

According to locals, the couple started taking a longer route, about a mile and a half, to avoid the problem they were facing.

It emerged last month that the pair were contemplating departing from their grand residence, and they’ve started exploring other real estate options within the vicinity.
