Harry Potter Wizards of Baking took our bakers to Gringotts Wizarding Bank

As a lifelong Harry Potter enthusiast, I must say that the second episode of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking was nothing short of enchanting! Having grown up with the original movies and books, it was like stepping back into the magical world once again.

In Episode 2 of the Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking’s inaugural season, our contestants ventured to Gringotts Wizarding Bank, where a renowned guest judge graced the judging panel. Warwick Davis, a familiar face from the Harry Potter film series and who also played multiple roles in the movies, joined Carla Hall and Jozef Youssef for an enchanting evaluation of the six remaining baking teams.

Each of the six contesting teams was informed that they would face off against one another, with two teams focusing on crafting an edible display representing the main banking hall, two teams dedicated to creating a masterpiece depicting the bank vaults, and the remaining two teams working on a representation of the bank’s tunnels. Moreover, these displays had to stand at a height of three feet, include a hidden element, and be entirely edible.

It was indeed an enchanting episode of Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking, especially for fans of the original films. Stepping back into the bank and catching glimpses of scenes that will inspire various creations was truly magical. However, there were both hits and misses in this round of baking.

In a direct competition between teams, one will emerge victorious while another will face defeat. The unfortunate three teams who lost could potentially find themselves eliminated from the tournament. This outcome is predictable, as it’s what usually happens in head-to-head matches.

In this episode, what stood out was the challenges faced by several bakers. Not only did some cakes unfortunately meet the floor in the kitchen, but it seemed that certain bakers found it difficult to impress the judges with their creations. Although a cake can’t truly perform, we anticipate a more skilled execution when it comes to the competition’s magical aspect.

To put it simply, this latest installment was yet another enjoyable one for us. Admittedly, it was disappointing to bid farewell to Kimberly and Ashley, but truthfully, we didn’t find the outcomes quite as shocking as we had anticipated.

We’re excitedly looking forward to discovering what’s next for the Magical Bakers, and we’re curious to find out who else might reappear from the original movies.
