Everyone is eager to find out who will play Voldemort in the new TV series based on the Wizarding World. Although one actor has been frequently suggested by fans, it seems someone may have accidentally revealed that a different, popular choice has actually been cast in the role.
As a huge movie fan, I was really surprised by what Ralph Fiennes, the original Voldemort, hinted at in a recent interview. He seemed to strongly imply that Cillian Murphy might be taking on the role of Voldemort in the new HBO series! Now, Murphy’s said before he wouldn’t be involved, but Fiennes’ comments – which are circulating in a video on Instagram – have got a lot of us thinking maybe he is joining the Potterverse after all. It’s definitely sparked a lot of excitement and speculation!
From what I hear, the role has already been cast. I’ve previously mentioned I think Cillian Murphy would be excellent, and it seems like they’ve agreed. I believe they’ve already made their decision, or at least I thought they had.
If Fiennes didn’t reveal the casting by mistake, but actually shared his opinion, then we’re still left wondering who could play Tom Riddle if it isn’t Cillian Murphy.
