As a devoted fan of the magical world created by J.K. Rowling, I have been captivated by the journey of these young stars who brought Harry Potter to life. Reading about the friendship between Emma Watson and Tom Felton, I am struck by the depth of their bond that transcends the pages of the books.
Actor Tom Felton, known for his role as Harry Potter’s antagonist Draco Malfoy, appeared unrecognizable while enjoying a sunny day with his less frequently seen girlfriend, Roxanne Danya, in the picturesque town of Portofino recently.
In a relaxed outfit consisting of a white t-shirt, jogging pants, and a baseball cap, the 36-year-old actor, recognized for his role as Harry’s adversary in the fantasy series, maintained a laid-back appearance.
With a bit of scruff on his face from sports, Tom slung his necessities into a knapsack and held a camera while he and Roxanne played around, capturing playful moments during their amorous vacation.
As a devoted admirer, I couldn’t help but notice the captivating jewelry artist, rumored to be in a relationship with an actor for four years, exuding elegance in a casual outfit that included a pair of shorts during our recent encounter.
She finished off her outfit with a bell-shaped, floral blouse and sunglasses, and as a couple, they took full advantage of the lovely weather while running at an impressive pace.

Tom was romantically involved with actress Jade Olivia, who portrayed his onscreen spouse Astrid in a series, for eight years. In 2020, Emma Watson, another co-star, disclosed that she could vividly recall the instance when she first fell for him during the filming of Harry Potter.
The actress, known for portraying Hermione Granger, fondly remembered having a crush on the actor, vividly replaying in her mind the moment he caused her heart to flutter for the very first time.
In The Great Hall, during the TV special commemorating the film’s 20th anniversary, the duo exchanged a heartfelt hug and warmly greeted each other on camera, their faces radiating joy.
When the initial Harry Potter film debuted in 2001, Tom was already 14 years old, whereas Emma was only eleven. Both of them played roles in each of the eight Harry Potter movies.
She remembered: I stepped into the study room where our tutoring session was taking place. The task assigned was to sketch one’s personal interpretation of God. Tom had depicted a girl wearing a reversed baseball cap while skating on a skateboard.
“I can’t find the words, but I’ve fallen head over heels for him. Every day, I would eagerly check the schedule, looking for his number, which was always number seven. If he was on the schedule, it made the day even more thrilling.
‘He was three years above me and so for him he was like: “you’re like my little sister”.’
In spite of persistent speculation about their relationship over many years, unfortunately, there was never any romantic involvement between Emma and Tom. However, the actor openly acknowledged that he was conscious of having a secret admirer in her.
According to Tom, it seems he might have been seated in the hair and makeup area when someone mentioned something like, “Indeed, she had feelings for you.
Over time, I developed a strong sense of guardianship towards her. To be honest, she has always held a special place in my heart, and that hasn’t changed up to now. There’s an uncanny connection between us that feels almost like a bond.
Ever since Harry Potter series ended, they’ve continued their strong friendship – back in 2019, he shared a photo of them learning guitar together in South Africa.
In numerous interviews, Emma openly admitted that during their early friendship years while they were filming together, she developed a childhood crush on him.
In 2011, she shared with Seventeen that for the initial two films, she had a massive infatuation with Tom Felton. He was my very first crush, and he’s well aware of it.
Emma shared, “We reminisce about it – it still makes us chuckle. Now, we’ve grown to be great friends, and I must say, that’s pretty neat,” she added, being in a relationship with entrepreneur Leo Robinton currently.
On The Jonathan Ross Show, she explained that during her childhood, around the ages of 10 to 12, she developed a deep affection for Tom Felton.
She explained: ‘We love a bad guy and he was a few years older and he had a skateboard and that just did it, really.’
Emma shared that Tom gave an impression of knowing about her crush, yet he claimed to view her more as a younger sister. This statement, however, only added to Emma’s sorrow.
