Harry Potter Star Terrorized by Stalker for 10 Years, Cops Useless
Actor Jason Isaacs shared his harrowing experience of being pursued by a devoted fan for ten years, likening it to his personal “Baby Reindeer” ordeal.
In my own words, I’d express it like this: For the first time, I’ve shared a harrowing account of my ten-year struggle. During that time, I lived in constant fear, dreading the possibility of being attacked – perhaps stabbed – or witnessing the destruction of my home by fire.
He expressed his annoyance over the fact that the ‘ineffective’ police showed disregard for his situation, as he was being harassed by a woman and they didn’t believe him.
At one point, a British actor was suggested by authorities to simply “knock her unconscious” following another instance where she was found hanging around near his residence.
On another occasion, an unidentified individual was apprehended outside his residence, but was accidentally freed by the authorities and soon returned, pounding on the front door.
The police made an unusual proposal that the 61-year-old, known for portraying Lucius Malfoy in Harry Potter, might consider changing both his name and profession due to persistent harassment by a woman.
He remarked, “That idea is utterly unreasonable.” He found the police to be nearly ineffective. They persistently maintained that he must have been having an affair with her, a woman he had never even encountered before.
Referring to the popular Netflix show centering around a comedian chased by an overzealous admirer, Isaacs commented: ‘I lost my mind over it. I ought to have scripted a movie based on it. The storyline of Baby Reindeer might be a bit more intense, but not significantly so.’

In his conversation with The i Newspaper, he stated, “I was extremely frightened that my home would be set on fire or I’d be attacked with a knife. The fact that she was a young woman made the police disregard it for quite some time.” He further mentioned, “It’s troubling to think that she might come across this.
Previously, it was disclosed that for several years starting in 1998, he found himself needing to bring the woman to court multiple times to ensure restraining orders were upheld. However, after the orders expired, the fan persistently and repeatedly made contact with him.
At that point, he commented: “People jokingly remark about it, but then I clarify by describing the feeling of having someone pound on the door in the wee hours, and a shiver runs through the room.
It struck me as peculiar that immediately upon returning home from being away for six to twelve months, production would begin anew. This made me wonder if perhaps she was consistently observing me on my street each day.
