Harry Potter star looks unrecognisable as he reunites with co-stars for sweet snaps 13 years after final movie

The magic that once filled our screens is now alive and well, as these beloved characters come together to create moments like this one.

Actor Tom Felton, best known for playing Harry Potter, appeared almost unrelated when he recently met up with his fellow cast members at the Dream It Conventions held in Paris, France last month.

On Monday, the actor who played Draco Malfoy, aged 37, excited fans by posting a photo from a reunion with his previous cast members on Instagram.

At the gathering, some actors who appeared in the initial Harry Potter film and also the Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald prequel joined forces.

Additionally, Tom was accompanied by two other Slytherin students: Scarlett Byrne, known for her role as Pansy Parkinson, and Louis Cordice, portraying the character of Blaise Zabini.

Additionally, Devon Murray, known for his role as Seamus Finnegan, and Jamie Campbell Bower from Stranger Things fame, who portrayed Gellert Grindelwald in the Harry Potter series, were also featured in the photo.

In addition to Stanislav Yanevski, who portrayed Victor Krum, both Predrag Bjelac (Igor Karkaroff) and Dan Fogler (Jacob Kowalski) were also part of the cast for Fantastic Beasts.

Alongside the sweet photo, Tom penned: ‘Wizarding world selfie.’ 

Adhering to the post, spectators became quite enthusiastic in the comment section, with one expressing: “I adore how passionately Tom feels about Harry Potter, chuckling at that!

Another gushed: ‘Simply iconic! Also Jamie? I love everything about this!!’

‘I love this so much,’ a third said.

A fourth person chimed in, suggesting, ‘Let’s have more gatherings and networking events in 2025. Make it a regular occurrence, if possible! Wishing you all the best, Tom!’

A fifth said: ‘Tom and Jamie together?! Ugh, I love it.’

Tom was just 14 years old when the first Harry Potter movie came out in 2001.

Emma Watson, his co-star, shared that a specific instance during the filming of Harry Potter was when she first realized she had fallen for him.

The actress, known for portraying Hermione Granger, nostalgically spoke of her romantic feelings for the actor, vividly remembering the moment when he left her heart fluttering for the very first time.

She recalled: ‘I walked into the room where we were having tutoring. The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard.

“I can’t find the right words, but I’ve fallen head over heels for him. Every time I came in, I’d eagerly search for his number on the daily schedule – it was number seven. If he was listed, it made the day even more thrilling.

‘He was three years above me and so for him he was like: ‘you’re like my little sister’.’

For years, Emma found herself at the heart of speculation about a romantic relationship with Tom, but unfortunately, their relationship never progressed beyond the rumors. Interestingly, Tom openly acknowledged that he knew who his secret admirer was.

Tom stated: “It seems I might have been seated in the hair and makeup station, and someone mentioned, ‘Apparently, she had feelings for you.’

I grew extremely guardian-like towards her. Yes, she’s someone I’ve always felt a tender affection for, and that sentiment remains strong today. It’s hard to put into words, but there’s an unspoken bond between us that feels like kinship.

Ever since Harry Potter ended, their friendship has stayed strong. In fact, in 2019, he shared an image of himself giving her guitar lessons in South Africa on social media.

In multiple interviews, Emma openly admitted that during their early friendship years, as they were filming together, she harbored a childhood crush on him.

In 2011, she shared with Seventeen that during the first two films, she developed a strong crush on Tom Felton. He was the one who ignited my first romantic feelings. And yes, he is aware of it.

Emma shared, “We reminisce about it – it still makes us chuckle. Now, we’ve grown to be great friends, and I must say, that’s quite awesome,” she remarked, being in a relationship with entrepreneur Leo Robinton currently.
