Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions Triwizard School Pitches Revealed

As an old-time Harry Potter enthusiast who’s been waiting for my Hogwarts Letter since I was ten, this latest announcement from Warner Bros. Games has me absolutely thrilled! Growing up with Harry and his pals, the idea of playing Quidditch seemed like a far-fetched dream. But now, with the release of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, it’s becoming a reality!

Warner Bros. Games has unveiled details about some of the Triwizard Tournament arenas that will feature in the forthcoming game, Harry Potter: Quidditch World Cup.

The new pitches shown off are Pyrenees Mountain Valley at the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic, Northern Lights at the Durmstrang Institute, and the home pitch at Hogwarts itself.

As a gamer, I find myself thrust into the thrilling world of Quidditch, an exhilarating wizarding sport that bears a resemblance to basketball but takes place high above the ground on swiftly moving broomsticks. Unlike traditional basketball, there’s no dribbling involved, and the rules seem to allow for some rather aggressive maneuvers, such as colliding with opponents in a manner that can only be described as energetic, if not downright forceful.

The description reads:

“Greetings! You’re invited to the Triwizard Schools Quidditch Tournament! Fly over the enchanting Pyrenees Valley at Beauxbatons Academy, chase the Snitch under the dazzling Northern Lights at Durmstrang Institute, and join in the festivities as we celebrate a hard-earned triumph on the cherished grounds of Hogwarts School for Magic and Wizardry!”

The third installment of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions is set for release on the 3rd of September. It will be available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC platforms.
