In this scenario, the actor, who had been previously quiet, finally spoke up about Michael J. Fox resuming his acting career in the series “Shrinking,” despite his ongoing battle with Parkinson’s disease from the Back to the Future franchise.

63-year-old actor, Fox, last appeared on screen when he resurrected his role as Louis Canning from The Good Wife in the 2020 spinoff series, The Good Fight.

However, Fox is set to reappear on our screens for the upcoming third season of the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ show Shrinking, starring Jason Segel and Harrison Ford.

Ford stars as Dr. Paul Rhodes, a mental health therapist who has Parkinson’s.

Ford shared with People that having the actor on board serves as a powerful inspiration for them and gives their project a clear objective. Inquired whether collaborating with Fox influenced his acting of the illness, Ford responded: “I believe there might be slight aspects that will become apparent later on.

I’ve made every effort to immerse myself in understanding the intricacies of the condition I’m representing, and my personal journey with this disease has evolved significantly.

My character’s at a completely distinct phase of the illness compared to Michael’s. However, it’s important to note that Michael, as Bill [Lawrence] explains, remains fully cognizant mentally. Emotionally, his wit and bravery are clearly on display.

Additionally to the cast, Jeff Daniels, Sherry Cola, and Isabella Gomez are set to join the show. Their characters have not been specified at this time.

Parkinson’s disease is a condition affecting the brain that may lead to symptoms like uncontrollable shaking, rigidity or stiffness in muscles, problems with balance and coordination, and painful muscle spasms.
