Harley Quinn Uses Her Own Poop Against Enemies for 1 Surprisingly Smart Reason

Typically, Harley Quinn is depicted as having an intriguing blend of genius and lunacy. Despite her erratic behavior in combat situations, she managed to attain a medical degree – demonstrating a certain level of intellectual acumen (though not always adherence to conventional reasoning) among her superhero and supervillain peers. This was vividly demonstrated during a mission with the Birds of Prey, where the Clown Queen of Crimefighting unveiled her ingenious method of turning her waste into weapons.

In Birds of Prey #24, penned by Eisner Award winner Kelly Thompson and illustrated by Sami Basri, our heroines face off against a fresh supervillain squad known as the Shadow Army. Headed by the enigmatic thief Inque, this sinister group had seized control over Big Barda, turning her against her own allies. Consequently, an epic clash between superheroes ensued, taking place within the hidden lair of the Shadow Army.

It’s not much of a spoiler to say that the good guys emerge victorious at the end, chasing off the bad guys. They even celebrate with a meal at a noodle eatery following Black Canary’s command to ransack the place. Yet, Harley Quinn takes things a step further, doing something that transgresses boundaries in an entertainingly cunning manner.

How does Harley Quinn use her own poop?

While they were having their meal, Harley Quinn casually mentions that she’d left her waste in every bed at the Shadow Army headquarters. It’s uncertain whether she had been stockpiling it or if she spread a single instance. Regardless, the Birds of Prey express their discomfort. Yet, there seems to be some rationale (by Harley’s peculiar perspective) for her actions.

Harley Quinn concludes that suitable locations for hidden lairs of evil masterminds like herself are scarce, given her frequent relocations within Gotham City. Therefore, it seems unlikely that the Shadow Army can easily find a new place to reconvene.

Since they have to go back to their headquarters, they’re bound to find their beds in a state of disarray. From this point forward, Harley clarifies, they’ll find it hard not to remember that terrible incident when they glance at their beds. Not only does she show her contempt for the Shadow Army, but Harley also devised an effective method to bother them continually.

Birds of Prey #24 is now available at comic shops everywhere.
