Harlan Coben’s new Netflix show Missing You releases full trailer
As a seasoned gamer of crime dramas and mysteries, I can hardly contain my excitement for Netflix’s upcoming series, “Missing You.” Having binge-watched countless hours of Harlan Coben adaptations, I can attest to the addictive nature of his storytelling. The trailer alone has me hooked, with its intricate plotlines and stellar cast, including Rosalind Eleazar, Richard Armitage, Ashley Walters, James Nesbitt, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, and Lisa Faulkner.
Netflix has released the full-length trailer for its next Harlan Coben series, Missing You.
The new footage shows a number of the cast in action, including Rosalind Eleazar (Slow Horses) in the lead role as Kat Donovan – a detective who specialises in Missing Persons, and whose own fiancé Josh vanished without a trace.
In the upcoming series titled Missing You, Richard Armitage reappears, having graced various television adaptations of Harlan Coben’s works in the past. Notably, this time around, Armitage takes on a new role – that of a police officer – which he has never portrayed before.
Ashley Walters, James Nesbitt, Sir Lenny Henry, Steve Pemberton, Jessica Plummer, Mary Malone, and Lisa Faulkner are some of the well-known figures who will be featured in the upcoming series as well.
Missing You is following in the footsteps of the Michelle Keegan-led Fool Me Once, which, upon its release in January 2024, quickly became a massive hit on the streaming platform and currently ranks among Netflix’s most-watched series of all time.
Previously, Richard Armitage noted: “Harlan Coben excels at creating those nail-biting cliffhangers, and his novels are impossible to put down once you start reading them; they translate exceptionally well into captivating television series.
He mentioned that Netflix seems to have discovered how wonderfully versatile their existing content is, and they might continue adapting it for potentially another ten years. He wasn’t sure if he’d be involved in every single one, but he’s not one to rule anything out entirely.
In a condensed format of just five episodes, as Coben mentioned earlier, viewers can easily finish watching it all within a single day.
The release date has been set for January 1, 2025 – so set your calendars.
Missing You arrives to Netflix on January 1, 2025.
