Harlan Coben’s 8-Part Crime Drama Is 1 of Netflix’s Most-Watched Shows Ever

Netflix and author Harlan Coben have once again created a hit! Their latest series recently reached a major achievement.

This creative pair has consistently produced popular songs, and their latest release, “I Will Find You,” is no exception. Released on June 18th, the song quickly gained traction and, according to Tudum, has already landed a spot in the Top 10 Most Popular songs.

I Will Find You Had the Biggest 2026 Debut for a TV Show

The new crime drama quickly became a hit on Netflix, landing in the Top 10 most popular English-language shows with an impressive 101.9 million views and a total of 558.6 million hours watched. It took the place of the previous show in tenth position.

It’s no surprise that I Will Find You is a massive hit on Netflix! The series racked up an impressive 24 million views and 131.7 million hours of watch time in its first week alone. According to Netflix’s latest report, it landed at No. 3 among the most-watched TV shows between January and June 2026 – a remarkable achievement considering it only had two weeks to qualify for the ranking.

This gripping new series centers on David, a father wrongly convicted of his son’s murder and sentenced to life in prison. When he learns his son might still be alive, David sets out on a dangerous quest for the truth, escaping from prison and uncovering a web of lies and hardship.

The thriller I Will Find You features a strong cast, including Sam Worthington (known from Avatar) as the main character, David Burroughs. Britt Lower, who starred in Severance, plays Rachel Mills, David’s former sister-in-law and a talented journalist. Milo Ventimiglia, famous for This Is Us, appears as Hayden, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend.

Netflix’s New Harlan Coben Project Is in the Works

Netflix and author Harlan Coben have worked together successfully since 2018, creating several popular limited series like I Will Find You and Run Away. This May, they renewed their partnership, and after almost ten years, Coben agreed to let Netflix adapt his Myron Bolitar series.

The detective series, starting with the 1995 novel Deal Breaker, now includes twelve books. Harlan Coben considered this series his most important work and was initially hesitant to license the rights. Ultimately, Netflix assembled a compelling team that persuaded him to do so.

The series features KJ Apa, known for his roles in The Map That Leads to You and Riverdale, alongside , who has appeared in Orange Is the New Black and The Lincoln Lawyer. David E. Kelley (creator of shows like Margo’s Got Money Troubles, Presumed Innocent, and Big Little Lies) and Kyle Long (Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G., Suits) co-created, write, and run the series – they also serve as executive producers.

As a huge book and TV fan, I was so excited to hear about this! The author told Netflix’s Tudum that they’re absolutely thrilled – and having a blast – working with the incredible David E. Kelley and his team on the new Myron Bolitar series. They clearly love those books as much as I do, and are really happy with how talented everyone is at bringing them to the screen. We can expect it sometime in late July 2026, which feels like a long wait, but knowing this creative team is involved makes it totally worth it!

I Will Find You is streaming on Netflix. Myron Bolitar doesn’t have a release date yet.
