Harlan Coben “can’t wait” for people to see a different Ruth Jones in upcoming Netflix thriller

Harlan Coben expresses his eagerness for audiences to catch a glimpse of Ruth Jones in the forthcoming Netflix thriller, “Run Away”.

The television show, sharing its title with one of Harlan Coben’s books, started shooting scenes across several northern English landscapes this year. It features James Nesbitt, Ruth Jones, and Minnie Driver in a storyline revolving around the quest to find a missing daughter.

On Thursday (April 10), I had the pleasure of being on The One Show, and let me tell you, I couldn’t wait to share some insights about our upcoming thriller film. What makes this project extra special is the raw emotional scenes we’ve crafted, and I can hardly wait for everyone to see them!

He mentioned that Ruth Jones, James Nesbitt, and Minnie Driver are the main actors in our current production. At this moment, we’re shooting the scenes up in the Northern part of England. It’s like a dream come true for us having them as our cast.

Regarding actress Ruth Jones, who stars in “Gavin and Stacey”, he mentioned: “I adore her because she’s incredibly endearing, and I aimed to make you instantly fall for her character from the start. I can’t wait for viewers to see Ruth in this part.

I’ve just seen a scene where she acted alongside Jimmy Nesbitt, and it was fantastic watching their intense scenes and camaraderie unfold. I’m really looking forward to more of it!

Earlier, the author hinted at the project with this statement: “The title, ‘Run Away,’ centers around the concept of family – it explores the lengths we go to preserve our family unit, the secrets we harbor within our families, and the secrets that bind us as a family.

Each time you pass by that house, there’s an entire cosmos hidden beyond its doorway, a mystery we all remain oblivious to.

Run Away does not yet have a confirmed release date.
