Hannah Waddingham, 50, downs a glass of wine as she enjoys a boozy day out at Wimbledon
On the twelfth day of Wimbledon, Hannah Waddingham sipped from a glass of wine while seated on Centre Court, observing the tennis match.
In the midst of the scorching London heatwave, the lead actor from Ted Lasso, aged 50, relieved himself by taking sips of a beverage during the intense game.
The actress radiated elegance while wearing a striking one-shoulder white gown, accessorized with stylish green sandals and eye-catching sunshades.
Notable figures from the world of tennis gathered at a key event in the Wimbledon schedule, with many famous faces from Hollywood securing invitations to witness the near-final matches in the singles tournament.
The weather looks hot and sunny again, forecasting temperatures up to 89 degrees Fahrenheit (32 degrees Celsius), while defending champion Carlos Alcaraz competes against Taylor Fritz for a spot in the final.
A little while from now on Centre Court, top-ranked tennis player Jannik Sinner will go head-to-head with seven-time champion Novak Djokovic. Both athletes are striving for their individual victories.

It’s possible that this Sunday might see a replay of last year’s final, with Alcaraz and Djokovic facing off against each other in their respective matches.
In the previous month, it was disclosed that Hannah came close to abandoning her acting ambitions altogether, following an instance where her previous drama instructor made derogatory comments about her physical appearance, which significantly undermined her self-assurance.
Hannah, originally from Wandsworth and educated at The Academy Of Live And Recorded Arts there, was 19 when she received the discouraging news that she wouldn’t succeed in her chosen field.
During an interview with The Sunday Times, Hannah remembered some particularly harsh words her drama teacher had said about her appearance.
“It looks like one side of her face has had a stroke”, Hannah was told.
The actress expressed: “Her actions significantly diminished my self-confidence to such an extent that I abstained from television auditions for a long period.
I wish she’s suffering somewhere, such a foolish creature. Those types of people are often plagued by their own insecurities, which I’ve come to understand.
She also revealed she was once told she was ‘too big’ to appear on camera.

The actress, standing at 5 feet 11 inches tall, asserted that she had been denied opportunities for acting roles because of her model-like height. She explained that the prevailing attitude was “you’re likely to appear too large on screen, so stick to what you know.
It turned out that working alongside Jason Sudeikis, the 6-foot-1 creator and lead actor of Ted Lasso, didn’t pose a problem in terms of height, as he was fine with Hannah wearing high heels and towering over him during filming.
Instead, Hannah admitted that multiple men requested her to take off her high-heels during the filming process.
During the interview, she mentioned that some temporary actors (day players) on the set of Ted Lasso inquired, “Can she not wear shoes during this scene?” Despite their request, she continued wearing her heels.
Today, London-born Hannah is now far removed from the criticism she faced concerning her looks, as admirers rave about her beauty on various social platforms instead.
After completing her education, Hannah, the daughter of renowned opera singer Melodie Kelly, devoted her efforts towards establishing herself as a stage actress.
Among her initial work experiences, she held a position at the interactive dinner theater event titled “Joni and Gina’s Wedding.” During this performance, attendees assume the roles of wedding guests, actively interacting with the actor-participants.
In the year 2000, Hannah unveiled her single “Our Kind of Love,” a composition penned by Andrew Lloyd Webber specifically for his musical “The Beautiful Game.” This release served as a tribute to celebrate the composer turning 50 years old.

In the year 2002, she made her appearance in a play titled “Space Family Robinson”. Following this, she landed the role of Lady of the Lake in the production of “Spamalot”, which recognized her with an Olivier Award nomination.
In addition to her performances on the West End stage, Hannah started trying out for increasingly more television and movie parts since 2008, marking her first appearance on the silver screen with “How To Lose Friends and Alienate People.
2014 saw Hannah landing the role of Tonya Dyke on the popular ITV show, Benidorm. However, it wasn’t until 2016 that her career took off significantly when she was chosen to play Septa Unella during the fifth season of Game of Thrones.
Landing the role catapulted Hannah into prominence, paving the way for her to star as Jackson’s mother Sofia in the popular Netflix show Sex Education, which premiered in 2019.
In the subsequent two years, Hannah attained unprecedented success in her career, landing a leading part as the charismatic yet frosty football club proprietor Rebecca Welton in Apple TV+’s series Ted Lasso.
Hannah’s latest roles have seen her star in Mission Impossible: Final Reckoning and Lilo & Stich.
