Handmaid’s Tale Stars Stun at LA Event Ahead of Final Season
At a screening event in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Elizabeth Moss and Yvonne Strahovski, both from “The Handmaid’s Tale,” elegantly graced the red carpet before the series’ last season premieres.
At a PaleyFest LA 2025 event held at the Dolby Theatre, the actresses who portray June Osborne and Serena Joy Waterford from the Channel 4 show chose to set aside their characters’ conflicts for the occasion while posing together.
In the United States, the first three episodes of The Handmaid’s Tale’s sixth season are set to debut on Tuesday, 6th April. However, as of now, a release date for the UK has not been announced.
The series is inspired by Margaret Atwood’s dystopian novel with the same title and takes place in the theocratic nation of Gilead, a regime where fertile women, referred to as Handmaids, are compelled to give birth for the elite, while the remainder of society relinquishes their liberties and rights.
In the world of Gilead, June Moss serves as a Handmaid within the household of Commander Fred Waterford and his wife Serena Joy Strahovski, two significant figures in the establishment and ascendancy of this dystopian society.
In the fifth season, the show presented an unexpected turn: having been banished, Serena finds herself compelled to go back to Gilead, causing more tension in her bond with June, making their relationship even more intricate.

At the screening event, Elizabeth, aged 42, elegantly donned a sleek black business attire and accessorized with vibrant red heels to add some extra stature.
She had long, wavy blond hair and chose a radiant makeup look, complementing it with a gold handbag as an accessory.
Yvonne meanwhile, 42, wore a wide leg white linen suit which was teamed with grey pointed heels.
Just recently, Hulu unveiled the trailer for the sixth (and concluding) season of The Handmaid’s Tale, which is more than two years since the fifth season’s finale aired.
In this setting, Elizabeth’s resistance leader, June, has come back to Gilead to once again stand among the veiled women who bear children for the ruling patriarchs in their authoritative regime.
In June’s narration, she explained that they thought the clothes they wore identified them to the world, and as a means of labeling them, they would dress them in red – a color symbolizing blood.
In a sense, they overlooked its connection to fury. The gown turned into our standard issue, transforming us into a formidable fighting force.
Beginning April 8th on Hulu, the initial three installments of the highly praised dystopian drama created by Bruce Miller, a series inspired by Margaret Atwood’s 1985 novel, will be broadcasted.
