Halsey surprised her fans by posting a picture of her bandaged stomach, revealing she had suffered burns.
The 31-year-old singer shared that she burned herself with a vocal steamer, and playfully said she felt like she was ‘falling apart’.
In a recent photo, the singer gave a thumbs-up while showing off bandages on her stomach, chest, and hand.
She shared a photo and explained she’d burned herself with the hot water from her vocal steamer, saying she was feeling unwell. She jokingly added ‘France 2 Ash 0. UK next!’ as a playful update on her condition.
A vocal steamer is a device that produces warm, moist air to hydrate and sooth vocal cords.
It helps to hydrate and reduce strain on the vocal cords and is often used by singers.
Halsey has publicly discussed her health issues, including her experiences with lupus and a rare immune disorder called T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.
The singer shared in a recent TikTok video that she’s had additional chemotherapy treatments. She described it as a quick update on her health.
‘I just wanted to give you a speed round of updates. [I] just did another few sessions of chemo.
I recently had a port installed. We’re putting on the Back to Badlands show, and it’s going to be incredible! My birthday is coming up soon, but I’ve been so busy, it’s completely slipped my mind.
An implanted port, sometimes called a portacath or subcutaneous port, is a small device placed under the skin and remains there throughout chemotherapy treatment.
Lymphoproliferative disorders (LPDs) happen when the body produces an excessive number of unusual white blood cells. These cells can sometimes develop into cancers, such as lymphoma or leukemia.
I’m a huge Halsey fan, and I was so touched to hear they’re continuing to create even while going through treatment. They recently shared that they’re actually getting ready for a new show, which is amazing and really inspiring to me!
Halsey shared on TikTok that she’s been trying to maintain her normal routine even while receiving chemotherapy.
She explained that she’s often quite weak for a week or longer after treatment. People usually only see her when she’s feeling a bit better, but the recovery period actually feels quite long, even though time seems to pass quickly when she’s resting.
As a wellness advocate, I’ve been following Halsey’s health journey with admiration. She recently shared that she received a Lupus SLE diagnosis in 2022, and then faced another challenge with a rare immune disorder. The good news is, she’s actively managing both conditions and currently experiencing remission – which is truly inspiring! It’s a powerful reminder to prioritize self-care and listen to your body.
Halsey recently revealed on Instagram that she’s been diagnosed with several conditions: Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, Sjogren’s syndrome, mast cell activation syndrome (MCAS), and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS).
She also responded to online critics who said she looked unhealthy and too thin. She tweeted, “You look sick? Because I AM. Let me live!”
She was hospitalized for anaphylaxis several times and consulted countless doctors – over 100,000 – in her search for a diagnosis for her long-term illness.
She explained on Instagram that her health has changed significantly since becoming pregnant and giving birth, and that she’s been getting quite sick.
She explained that she’s been dealing with health issues for most of her adult life, but they’ve recently worsened. She’s still trying to figure out what’s causing them, and suspects it might be an autoimmune condition.
I’ve dealt with autoimmune problems, particularly endometriosis, for most of my life. These issues have gotten worse since I had my son, Ender Ridley Aydin.
Halsey explained she was sharing updates because she knew people were concerned after seeing her heart monitor and noticing she hadn’t been feeling well. She wanted to reassure everyone that she was receiving treatment and didn’t want anyone to worry.
She followed up with a message to explain further, saying she wanted to clarify things for anyone who might be going through similar health issues, especially those connected to her through mutual friends.
It wasn’t a sudden illness; I’ve been dealing with health problems for years. Now, those problems finally have diagnoses. I spent eight years going to doctors, trying to find out what was happening.
She openly shared that people had labeled her as crazy, anxious, and lazy. This led her to completely change how she lived, and when she wasn’t at work, she mostly stayed home, worried about how she would feel the next day.
She added, ‘It took me a long time to get to even having a diagnosis so I’m celebrating!!’
Try not to dismiss your friends when they’re not feeling well. They might be dealing with a hidden struggle they haven’t shared yet, you know?
Halsey has endometriosis and shared an update with her fans in March after undergoing a procedure.
She shared a photo online explaining that she needed to use diapers again while she was recovering.
Okay, so in the photo, the celebrity was rocking some comfy striped pajamas. She wasn’t shy about showing she was also wearing a diaper – the waistband was visible – and we could see she had some bandages on, too. It looked like she was prioritizing comfort and recovery, and honestly, I’m all for that! It’s a reminder that even stars have moments where they just need to take care of themselves.
Okay, so I recently shared a little peek into my post-surgery recovery, and it’s been… interesting! I posted a picture joking about being back in diapers, but hey, at least these ones have cute little bows! Seriously though, I’m so incredibly grateful for my amazing doctor, Dr. Thais Aliabadi – she’s a true genius and has provided such incredible care. I just had to publicly thank her for everything!
Endometriosis, as defined by the Mayo Clinic, is a frequently painful condition where tissue resembling the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. This tissue commonly affects the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and the pelvic lining.
The Bad At Love singer has also previously revealed her ADHD and bipolar disorder diagnosis.
Halsey is engaged to Avan Jogia and is also a mother to a son named Ender Ridley Aydin, whom she shares with her former partner, Alev Aydin.
