I’m truly in awe of Halsey’s resilience and strength. Her journey through music and her personal life experiences is nothing short of inspiring. Her fourth studio album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, showcases the depth of her artistry and vulnerability. I can only imagine the emotions she went through while creating this masterpiece, all while dealing with numerous health issues.

Halsey looked nearly naked for her new music video Lucky, which dropped on Friday.

The songbird has only underwear on with rhinestones over her body as she models a red wig.

Gia Coppola, Francis Ford Coppola’s granddaughter, oversees the making of this video.

The song is inspired by the Britney Spears tune of the same name from year 2000.

During that period, Halsey takes after Spears in her performance. The music video includes a brief appearance from actor Simon Rex, who was Spears’ romantic interest during the same timeframe.

Halsey’s song lyrics reveal her battling with her health, mentioned as the reason for shaving her head an extra time beyond her preference (which she had done four times already).

‘I thought I changed so much nobody would notice s***, and no one did.

After leaving the doctor’s office in tears, I became a single mother. For an entire year, I told everyone I was okay, but looking back, that was the greatest deception of my life.

Halsey revealed that she got permission from Spears to sample her song of the same name on Lucky.

In a simpler and more natural way, you could say: Britney’s hit song “Lucky” tells the story of a Hollywood actress with an enviable exterior, but in reality, she hides deep sadness within her heart.

A week ago, someone wondered on X, previously known as Twitter, if Britney had any role in the choice of sampling Halsey’s track for her upcoming single.

As a die-hard fan of Halsey, I can’t help but feel exhilarated whenever she addresses me. And when she graciously responded with a resounding “yes, of course!” to my request, I was left in awe. Her approval means the world to me – it’s not something I would ever take lightly or attempt without her blessing.

“Despite being fortunate and shining brightly, she weeps in her solitary heart, questioning: ‘Why do I cry so much if my life is complete? Is there something I’m unaware of that makes me shed tears under the cover of night?'”

Halsey rewrote the lyrics for her solo track, singing personally: “I’m fortunate, I’m a shining star, yet I weep, weep, weep in the solitary heart pondering: “What’s the reason for these tears at night if my life is complete as it stands?””

When word got out that Halsey was covering one of Britney Spears’ songs, fans unearthed an older interview where Halsey seemed critical of the pop icon.

In the year 2017, she shared that she had started seeing herself as a CEO, having recognized she held greater control over her work compared to most other pop stars.

Initially, she admitted to Fast Company, her ignorance made her believe that: Every artist creates their own music and designs their own performances. I used to think Britney Spears composed her songs and choreographed her shows all by herself. Consequently, I continued to do the same.

Following the release of the interview, people on social media began interpreting Halsey’s words as a criticism towards Britney, leading Halsey to address the situation on her own social media platform.

“Out of most things, I can usually brush off indifference. But about that one person, I care deeply – I’ve always praised her greatly and her talent is truly exceptional.” (Tweet)

She strongly maintained, “I adore Britney greatly, and it’s unfortunate when rumors circulate. All I expressed was that creating a song requires the contributions of many individuals.”

As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that Halsey has just dropped her second single, titled “Lucky,” from her upcoming fifth studio album. This new release follows closely on the heels of the lead single, “The End,” which she unveiled approximately two months ago.

In a sorrowful acoustic melody, “The End” told the story of a person deeply engaged in a romantic relationship despite facing a critical health condition.

Halsey, who uses both “she” and “they” pronouns interchangeably, hasn’t disclosed the name or launch date yet for their upcoming album.

In 2021, the artist released her fourth studio album titled “If I Can’t Have Power, I Want Love.” This album received critical acclaim and sold well on the market.

Halsey, who gave birth to her son Ender just a month prior to the album’s release, expressed that the album’s themes revolve around the “delights and terrors” of pregnancy and childbirth.

During this time, she published “The End” having endured years of health struggles, such as bipolar disorder, endometriosis, and postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), a condition that accelerates the heart rate upon standing or sitting.

On the day following the release of “The End,” Halsey disclosed: “I received diagnoses in 2022 – first with Lupus SLE, then with a less common type of T-cell lymphoproliferative disorder.”

She noted: “Both are presently under control or in a stable state, and I expect to continue dealing with them for the rest of my life.”

A “T-Cell lymphoproliferative disorder” refers to various conditions where the body overproduces T-cells.

There are different types of leukemia and lymphoma grouped under the category of ‘T-Cell lymphoid disorders.’ However, Halsey didn’t mention which particular disorder she was dealing with.

In an Instagram post about her treatments, she also mentioned and tagged The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Lupus Research Alliance.

Based on the specific situation, T-Cell lymphoproliferative disorders may present with various symptoms such as an enlarged liver, feeling weak, experiencing anemia, and exhibiting unusual bruising.

After The End was unveiled, Halsey cryptically shared on Instagram, “In essence, I’m fortunate to still be here” – alluding to the name of her upcoming album single.

In terms of romance, Halsey is currently in a relationship with Canadian actor Avan Jogia, best known for his role in Agnieszka Holland’s film “A Girl Like Me: The Gwen Araujo Story.”

In September 2023, there were whispers of something special between us as we were captured locking lips in a public setting. The rumors gained even more traction when we made our relationship official on Instagram the very next month.

Last week in New York, during a picnic with Avan, Halsey was noticed wearing a ring on her engagement finger. This observation has sparked speculation that a wedding might be forthcoming.

Ender, their three-year-old son, is co-parented by his mother and ex-partner Alev Aydin. They had been in a relationship for over three years before amicably parting ways in the beginning of 2023.

The singer-songwriter is known to have had a high-profile relationship with the popular musician G-Eazy, believed to be the muse behind her fiery hit song Without Me, which criticizes their past romance.
