Halo: Campaign Evolved – Two Betrayals Skull Guide

Okay, so I’m really into Halo: Combat Evolved, and they’ve added some seriously tough modifiers for those of us who want an extra challenge! But to unlock them, you gotta hunt down these hidden Skulls throughout the game. Each mission – including the bonus ones – has three Skulls tucked away somewhere. It takes a bit of searching and knowing where to look to find all of them, but it’s worth it!

When players get to the Two Betrayals mission, they’ll face one of their biggest challenges yet when hunting for Skulls. The Tough Luck Skull is hidden in a difficult-to-find spot, and getting the Mythic Skull means fighting through multiple waves of enemies and opening several locked doors.

Okay, so right when you start this level, definitely go grab that Terminal – it’s super easy to find at the very beginning! After you push through Rally Point Alpha and they tell you to get in the first Banshee, don’t head straight for the waypoint. Instead, fly up to the top of the big spire. There’s a ledge up there with the Tough Luck Skull on it, so make sure you check it out!

Okay, so I found another Skull! After you get to Rally Point Charlie and head out the bottom of the facility, you’ll see those three bridges again – you might remember them from when you stormed the Control Room. You want to take the middle bridge and keep going forward. It’s pretty dark, so make sure to turn on your flashlight! The Skull is hidden amongst some dead Flood and in the snow, so keep your eyes peeled.

Skull Rally Point Difficulty Location Effect Image
Tough Luck Alpha Any After getting in the first Banshee during the mission, fly to the top of the spire and exit. The Skull is sitting on a high ledge. (You can also fly to get this with Acrophobia enabled.) Enemies dodge more, go berserk, and never flee.
Black Eye Charlie Any After exiting the building from Rally Point Charlie, head straight over the middle bridge and follow the path into the corner. The skull is floating atop a pile of dead Flood and snow, but is hard to see, so you’ll want to turn your flashlight on. Shields only recharge after melee attacks.
Mythic Charlie Any Before you proceed to the second Conduit objective, use the Banshee in the area with the Flood Tanks fighting the Hunters to fly up to the nearby spire platform. In the middle of the platform there’s a terminal to open a door that isn’t required for the main objective. Go straight across from this terminal to enter a new structure and progress forward through all three hallway sections, defeating all enemies to open each subsequent door. After opening the third door and eliminating all enemies in that room, the Skull will appear in the very middle of the room on a platform. Enemies have increased health.

Okay, so getting the final Skull – the Mythic Skull – on Two Betrayals is tough. It’s definitely the hardest one to snag right now. When you get to that big open area where the Flood Tanks are battling the Hunters, don’t bother fighting! Instead, head straight for the Banshee and take off. Fly up the structure it was parked near and land on the platform above. You’ll see a terminal there; activate it, and it’ll unlock a door right across from where you are.

Once you’re past the initial door, you’ll face three locked doors. You can open each one by defeating the enemies that appear in its area and then using the nearby terminal. After clearing the third room of enemies, the Mythic Skull will appear on a platform in the center.

All Two Betrayals Skull Effects

For the Two Betrayals mission, the Tough Luck skull increases enemy dodging, causes them to enter a rage mode, and prevents them from running away. The Black Eye skull forces you to rely on melee attacks to recharge your shields, and is necessary to unlock LASO difficulty.

To complete the very difficult LASO challenge, you’ll also need the Mythic Skull, which significantly boosts enemy health, making battles much tougher. Finding all three Skulls and the terminal on the Two Betrayals mission unlocks the Outpost Discoveries trophy. Of course, all of these collectibles are also necessary to earn the Headhunter trophy in Halo: Campaign Evolved.
