Halloween Horror Nights Orlando and Hollywood announce new haunted house (and it comes with a twist)!

As a longtime fan of Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights, I am absolutely thrilled by this year’s newest announcement – the all-female cast of Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines. While it’s not an entirely new concept to feature these classic monsters at the event, the twist is what makes it truly unique and exciting.

At Universal Studios, the lineup for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights event includes several haunted house themes that have previously been announced. However, among the latest unveilings, there’s one that stands out as particularly distinct.

As a long-time fan of Halloween Horror Nights, I’ve seen my fair share of Universal Monsters brought to life. From the chilling presence of Count Dracula, the menacing roar of The Wolfman, the haunting moans of The Mummy, to the terrifying spark of life in Frankenstein’s monster, these classic creatures have always held a special place in my heart.

An unexpected turn: The Universal Monsters in this tale are portrayed by an exclusively female ensemble, consisting of The Bride of Frankenstein, Dracula’s Daughter, She-Wolf of London, and the revived Egyptian Princess Anck-Su-Namun. Horror aficionados are aware that Universal has been reimagining its classic monster lineup recently (the movie “Abigail” served as a fresh take on “Dracula’s Daughter”).

Visitors at Halloween Horror Nights will encounter a fresh tale in the Eternal Bloodlines haunted house. This narrative revolves around Saskia, the daughter of Van Helsing, who allegedly staked Dracula to end his life. However, Countess Marya, Dracula’s vengeful daughter, is now on a mission to avenge her father’s demise and annihilate the Van Helsing lineage.

Marya is aided by the She-Wolf from “She-Wolf of London” (1946) and the mummified Anck-Su-Namun from “The Mummy” (1932). However, Saskia has an additional supporter in The Bride of Frankenstein, significantly boosting her chances.

The upcoming battle appears fated to eliminate one of the two feuding families, drawing unwitting attendees into the chaos and violence.

As a long-time fan of classic horror films, I find it simply thrilling to learn that Universal Monsters: Eternal Bloodlines will be showcased at Sound Stage 12 in Universal Hollywood. This back lot holds a special place in my heart, as it was the very setting where some of the most iconic horror movies of all time were brought to life. The original Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Bride of Frankenstein were filmed here, and just thinking about the history and the stories that were born on this hallowed ground gives me goosebumps. It’s an honor to imagine being in the presence of such cinematic history, and I can only imagine the excitement and awe that visitors will experience when they attend this event. This is more than just a presentation or a show; it’s a journey back in time to the roots of horror cinema, and I cannot wait to be a part of it.

For those who aren’t up to date, the previously announced houses for Universal Orlando are:

  • A Quiet Place
  • Insidious: The Further
  • Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
  • Monstruos 2: The Nightmares of Latin America
  • Slaughter Sinema 2
  • Goblin’s Feast
  • Major Sweet’s Candy Factory
  • The Museum: Deadly Exhibits
  • Triplets of Terror

As an excited fan, I can’t contain my enthusiasm for Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando and Hollywood! Starting from August 30 for Orlando and September 5 for Hollywood, these terrifying events will come alive with heart-pounding scares.
