Halle Berry is donating her ‘entire closet’ to help Los Angeles fire victims who have lost everything
Halle Berry is choosing to do the same as Sharon Stone by giving away all her wardrobe items to aid those affected by the Los Angeles wildfires.
66-year-old Stone encouraged her 4 million Instagram followers to contribute clothes to a nearby store named Coop, located at 7278 Beverly Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90036, on Thursday.
In her post, she mentioned that the following items are required: pre-loved jeans, jackets, shoes, beanies, gloves, as well as hangers; also, new undergarments and socks, together with any and all types of gift cards.
58-year-old Berry replied to Stone’s message, saying, “I’ll be there, giving it my all!” Following this, she posted Stone’s video in a separate update of her own.
Berry announced that she’s cleaning out her whole wardrobe and making her way over to the COOP. Residents of Southern California, consider following suit!
Berry pointed out, “Here’s an action we can take immediately to assist all those displaced families who urgently require essentials today.
‘Thank you @sharonstone for your leadership. Love you Lady,’ Berry concluded.
The actress additionally addressed several remarks from fans, such as one who expressed, “I hope it’s free and not costing anyone.
Berry replied, “They are being provided FREE OF CHARGE,” confirming to a fan that they could ship clothing for donation from out-of-state.
In response, artist Anjelika Perry disclosed that multiple relatives, including her late mother’s residence, were lost in the aftermath. Translated: Several family members, including her deceased mother’s house, have been swept away.
Berry replied, “Oh my goodness! I’m truly sorry. I wish you well! Rest assured, I will persist in finding solutions to assist you further.
Stone shared with Ashley Banfield of NewsNation on Thursday that she is offering her home as a refuge for those who have been forced out of their homes due to the fires.
She mentioned that she’s been accommodating friends at her home. Now, more families are moving in with her, creating a living space to assist others. They are preparing the house by setting up beds and making available additional rooms.
stone shared that we’re packing our belongings onto trucks and transporting them all to The Coop, also extending an invitation for friends to join us by moving in with us here. It seems many people are leaving their homes due to the situation.
Additionally, she mentioned that Coop would function as a ‘distribution point’, providing relief items for those affected by the fires who require assistance.
She mentioned, “If you’re looking for items, head over to The Coop. It’s especially beneficial for those needing such items. That’s the place where you can acquire them.
Speaking from personal experience, I find myself incredibly grateful today. My son, Roan Stone, echoed this sentiment by noting that we are fortunate to reside in a secure environment, a privilege not everyone shares. It’s a humbling reminder of the blessings bestowed upon us.
He mentioned that since we’re fortunate enough to be in a secure situation, our best course of action should be to pay it forward, particularly towards those who have suffered immense losses.
