Halle Berry finally reveals what happened to her iconic orange Bond girl bikini 20 years after film’s release

Halle Berry is bringing back the famous orange bikini she wore in the 2002 James Bond film, Die Another Day.

During an appearance on the Drew Barrymore Show, the 59-year-old Academy Award winner was asked by someone in the audience if she was allowed to keep the revealing swimsuit she wore in a film.

The actress confirmed she still owns the iconic bikini from the movie, over twenty years later.

Meanwhile Barrymore emphasized, ‘Now that’s a question! It lives rent free in all of our minds.’

Halle Berry, recently engaged to Van Hunt, first appeared in this memorable outfit while playing the character Jinx as she walked out of the ocean.

She wore a thick white belt low on her hips with the swimwear, and a knife was secured in a holster on one side of the belt.

In a 2021 interview with Vogue, Halle Berry talked about the famous orange bikini from James Bond, explaining that putting together the right look for the scene wasn’t simple.

‘We tried on so many bathing suits,’ she told the publication. ‘So many bikinis and so many belts.’

The actor explained they suspected the scene, due to its appearance in a James Bond film, would become instantly recognizable and remain memorable for years to come.

Berry also claimed that studios were too scared to support a James Bond spin-off based on Jinx.

Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, the producers, strongly advocated for a film centered around the character, but MGM was hesitant due to the estimated $80 million cost.

Berry called the decision ‘disappointing’ in a 2020 cover story with Variety.

It was a groundbreaking idea, but the industry wasn’t prepared to invest heavily in a Black female action lead. People simply didn’t recognize its potential at the time, and that reflects the mindset of the era, she explained.

Halle Berry still turns heads with her stunning looks, and she recently celebrated her 59th birthday by sharing a glamorous bikini photo on Twitter.

Berry leads an active lifestyle, sticking to a strict health, wellness, and fitness routine.

In an interview with Marie Claire in September 2024, she shared that she feels healthier and more resilient now than she did when she was younger.

She believes staying young is thanks to red light therapy, consistent workouts, and avoiding sugar.

She told the magazine that age is simply a label, and she feels she’s reached the best point in her life.

As a lifestyle expert, I’m often asked about my own wellness routine. I prioritize staying healthy with a combination of vitamins and supplements, and I also incorporate bioidentical hormones – progesterone, testosterone, and estriol – as part of my overall health plan.

The silver screen siren also uses hot and cold treatments to balance her health regimen.

For years, she’s relied on fitness trainer Peter Lee Thomas to help her stay in shape for her challenging movie roles.
