Wow, halftime shows have really changed over the years! I remember reading that the Super Bowl used to just have marching bands – and honestly, while I appreciate a good band, it just felt a little…high school-ish for such a huge, professional event. But you definitely won’t have to worry about that when the Seahawks and 49ers face off – the halftime show is going to be amazing!
The NFL’s Divisional Round game is scheduled for Saturday, January 17th at 5 pm Pacific Time at Lumen Field in Seattle. Rather than featuring a local Seattle celebrity like the band Pearl Jam, the NFL has chosen Lil Jon to perform during the event. He’s expected to put on a good show.
This won’t be Lil Jon’s first time performing at a Seahawks game. He actually played a show earlier this season when Seattle faced the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks won that game, so fans are hoping he’ll bring some good luck again.
Lil Jon will be the halftime performer when the Seattle Seahawks play the San Francisco 49ers
The rapper performed at the 2025 Thanksgiving Day game between the Bengals and Ravens in Baltimore. He also appeared with Usher during the Super Bowl LVIII halftime show in 2024, where the Kansas City Chiefs won against the 49ers.
So, Lil Jon’s appearances at games seem to have a quirky pattern: the Seahawks win when he supports them, but the 49ers lose when he cheers them on. If anyone’s trying to predict the outcome of the next playoff round based on this random coincidence, that’s all the evidence they need.
Lil Jon isn’t a player, so he doesn’t impact the game itself. However, the league trusts he can quickly grasp his responsibilities and contribute in other ways.
Although his performance during the Seattle-Arizona game wasn’t shown on TV, his Thanksgiving performance was. The idea is that even if someone wants to skip part of the Seahawks-49ers game, they should still be able to watch at least a portion of Lil Jon performing hits like “Get Low” and “Turn Down for What.”
You can watch the Seahawks-49ers game on FOX, or stream it live on the FOX Sports app. If you’re only interested in seeing Lil Jon, who will appear after the game, you’ll need to wait about 90 minutes after the 5:00 PM Pacific Time kickoff. It’s up to you!
