As a passionate gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been invited to participate in an exclusive closed beta test for Halfbrick Studios‘ upcoming fast-paced roguelite shooter game, Guncrypt! This exciting opportunity is only available to community members like myself, and the recruitment process is now underway. The specific playdates haven’t been revealed yet, but I can’t wait to get my hands on this game sooner rather than later. If you’re interested, keep an eye out for more details!
Get ready to dive into dungeon runs and teleport through walls
Guncrypt is an adrenaline-pumping, roguelike shooter that combines deck-construction features and a distinctive touchscreen control system. In this game, you’ll find yourself darting through walls, annihilating adversaries, and gathering ammo to enhance your abilities, ultimately leading to mayhem.

I appreciate its pirate-style design, merging seamlessly with its nostalgic arcade atmosphere, transporting me to my cherished gaming childhood moments. I’m particularly looking forward to delving into the dungeons and teleporting effortlessly from one location to another using intuitive tap controls, a feature that evokes memories of Archero 2, a game I found highly enjoyable.
Besides battle, you can engage in quests, unearth hidden objects, and delve into the town’s peculiar curse. Additionally, you will encounter mystical Tarot Cards that provide permanent enhancements. Given its ongoing development, it might be premature to make a final judgment; keep an eye out for further updates.
How to apply for the upcoming Guncrypt closed beta test
Guncrypt is about to initiate a closed beta testing (CBT) on both Android and iOS platforms. The objective of this test is to identify “What malfunctioned? What was unexpected? What made you laugh?”. Recruitment for this test has now begun, with the dates for participation to be announced shortly.
To participate in the playtests, you should join our community called Halfbrick+. Our team will then reach out to you through the community to coordinate the playtesting sessions. The game you’ll be testing is an early, abridged version. You can download and start playing it from the Google Play Store or TestFlight for iOS devices.
