Haley Lu Richardson is known for playing high-energy, entertaining characters.
At the Berlin Film Festival on Friday, the 30-year-old actress once again surprised everyone with her unique style at a promotional event for her new film, Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die.
Things were getting silly between Richardson and her co-stars Sam Rockwell and Michael Pena.
Richardson stunned the audience with a display of impressive acrobatics, performing a headstand and several high kicks that left them amazed.
The actress, a known Jonas Brothers enthusiast, wore a black blazer with black shorts, tights, and heels. She impressively balanced on her hands, her feet pointing upwards.
The antics didn’t stop there as Richardson showcased her theatrical martial arts moves.
Gore Verbinski, the film’s director, showed off some impressive kicks himself, and Danny Pena also joined in. However, neither could match the skills of Richardson, who even volunteered to do a full split, according to Deadline.
In this darkly funny movie, she portrays a puzzling character called Ingrid, and for almost the entire two hours and fourteen minutes, she’s wearing a tightly laced princess gown.
According to reports, Sam Rockwell portrays a time traveler who holds people hostage in a Los Angeles diner. His goal is to prevent artificial intelligence from destroying the world.
Verbinski noted that the energy at this event was similar to the camaraderie on set.
Verbinski described the cast as surprisingly easy to manage, saying he’d never worked with a group that bonded so quickly. He preferred their camaraderie to having them isolated in their trailers. Instead of needing to coax them to set, they were already relaxed, chatting, laughing, and even singing – it was a remarkably lively atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Richardson’s romantic life hit a bump in the road not too long ago.
Alexandra Daddario, known for her role in The White Lotus, and Brett Dier, from Jane the Virgin, dated for six years and got engaged in 2018. However, they broke up two years later, in 2020, and she shared the news in 2022.
She told People in 2023 that it has been ‘amazing’ to figure out that she can cope on her own.
It was a difficult experience, but I’m glad I made it through. I was with someone for a long time, and we shared a lot of life together – it meant a lot to me. I really hoped it would last forever, but things didn’t work out that way.
I used to believe that if the relationship didn’t last forever, my life would fall apart. But looking back now, I’ve realized I could get through something that difficult, and I am strong enough to be independent. That’s been a really empowering discovery.
Single life has affected all aspects of her life in the ‘best way.’
She explained that once you experience the positive impact of therapy and personal growth on all areas of your life, it naturally becomes an integral part of who you are. She jokingly added that she didn’t intend to give a lecture on the topic.
