Haley Joel Osment Arrested in Shocking Meltdown, Screams ‘Nazi’ at Cop During Chaos

Stunning body camera video captures the instance when Haley Joel Osment was apprehended recently—displaying aggressive behavior towards police officers, including hurling insults such as ‘Nazi’ in the middle of a tumultuous altercation.

37-year-old actor from The Sixth Sense was arrested on April 8 for public drunkenness and drug possession at a California ski resort. Initially, the situation turned chaotic, but it escalated rapidly into a full-blown outburst.

In a troubling video acquired by DailyMail.com, a somewhat unkempt Osment stumbles into view, teetering precariously on his feet. He persistently attempts – yet consistently fails – to hold up his trousers as he grapples with law enforcement officials at Mammoth Mountain.

Previously known for acting roles as a child, this individual was observed tripping, mumbling incoherently, and ultimately falling to the ground. The police then put on handcuffs and physically guided him into the back of their patrol car.

Once upon a time, I found myself in a situation where I cried out, “I’ve been seized against my will by a vile fascist!” And with great conviction, I accused the authorities of subjecting me to unbearable torment, pleading for them to halt this alleged cruelty immediately.

He also hurled an antisemitic slur during the vile tirade.

Now, Osment is trying to do damage control. 

He expressed deep regret for his actions, stating that if he had realized he was using such offensive language during a moment of unconsciousness, he would have addressed the issue sooner. In a statement released on Friday, as reported by People, he also confessed that recent experiences of loss and displacement have left him in a very vulnerable emotional state.

More recently, due to the destructive Los Angeles wildfires, Osment has reportedly been embroiled in a dispute with his insurance company regarding financial reimbursement, as per TMZ.

He added, “However, it doesn’t make it right to employ such an offensive term. From the depths of my soul, I sincerely apologize to everyone who has been hurt by this.

My words seemed meaningless and foolish, causing a disappointment within the Jewish community that leaves me heartbroken.

‘I don’t ask for anyone’s forgiveness, but I promise to atone for my terrible mistake.’

Last Thursday night, he confided in TMZ that he was utterly shocked and dismayed by his actions, admitting they transpired during a state of unconsciousness or lack of control.

‘Had I known I used this disgraceful language … I would have spoken up sooner.’

Originating from Southern California, an individual was arrested for allegedly having cocaine and causing disturbances while intoxicated in public, as claimed by TMZ. After his arrest, it’s said that he was quickly released.

Regardless of his booking, the final decision about charging Osment now rests with the District Attorney of Mono County.

It’s possible that the actor’s emotional condition could have contributed to his arrest, given that reliable sources close to him informed TMZ that he’s been struggling since his house was destroyed in the tragic Altadena fire.

It appears that the challenging encounters he’s had with his insurance company regarding compensation for his damaged house have allegedly been causing him stress.

Reports indicate that he discovered an ideal new residence, yet his insurance firm refused to cover the costs.

2006 saw a dramatic shift in Osment’s clean-cut image as an actor, following a car accident he was involved in. After colliding with a mailbox’s brick pillar, his vehicle overturned. He sustained injuries to his rib and shoulder, requiring a short hospitalization for treatment.

About a month past, he faced charges for two misdemeanors related to driving under the influence (DUIs) of alcohol. The allegations claim his blood-alcohol level exceeded 0.15%, and also for possessing marijuana during that same time when he was behind the wheel.

In addition, Osment faced charges for having a Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) of 0.05% when he was underage. Eventually, he admitted to no contest on one count of driving while intoxicated by alcohol and one count of possessing marijuana.

Tom Hanks, who played the role of Forrest Gump, received a court-ordered probation lasting three years and was instructed to complete a 60-hour alcohol treatment program.

As part of my commitment, I was mandated to participate in Alcoholics Anonymous gatherings for a period of six months and shell out a fine amounting to $1,500.

In February, Osment opened up about his housing woes after losing his home to the Eaton Fire.

As I chatted on the Mentor Buffet podcast, I couldn’t help but share my struggles adjusting to life in sunny California. You see, for the past 15 years, I had been a proud resident of bustling New York City. But then, in a whirlwind turn of events, I found myself relocating near the glitz and glamour of Hollywood in early 2020 – mere days before Governor Gavin Newsom issued a statewide stay-at-home order!

He shared, “I had a deep, pandemic-driven relationship that unfortunately didn’t lead anywhere. However, once the most challenging phase of the pandemic passed, things began to improve. Then, there was the writers’ or actors’ strike, which I fully backed, but it significantly delayed everything for quite some time.

After experiencing some political turmoil, the home that served as my sanctuary throughout the pandemic unfortunately met its end in the Eaton Fire.

At that point in time, Osment expressed on social media: ‘I always felt my heart brimming with joy each time I returned home. It was an extraordinarily unique and cherished location where I found immense affection.’

In January, Emily Osment, the younger sibling of an Oscar nominee (known for her role in Young Sheldon), disclosed that their family had also suffered a loss due to the Eaton Fire – they too had to leave their home behind.
