Apple Martin always wanted to focus on her studies and experience a typical life, but it seems she’s now pursuing a career similar to her well-known mother.
Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter, Apple Martin, is graduating from Vanderbilt University in May with a degree combining law, history, and society. Apple, who is 21 and whose father is musician Chris Martin of Coldplay, has followed in her parents’ footsteps by pursuing higher education.
Now she is ready to give acting a try, as she told Vogue in an episode of Beauty Secrets.
‘I love dancing and I love acting. My dream is to act,’ she said.
I’m so impressed with Martine! She’s been really open about getting a little work done, which I admire, and now she’s directing a play at school! It’s amazing to see her getting experience behind the scenes and trying something new. I can’t wait to see what she does next!
She said she loves it ‘more than anything.’
In a recent interview with Interview magazine, she expressed her strong desire to work in theater, saying it’s always been a passion of hers. While she hasn’t yet acted in any films, she’s been looking for opportunities in student productions, as she considers herself a lifelong theater enthusiast.
Martin, a successful model, recently shot a beautiful series of photos for a fashion magazine featuring Rosalia on the cover.
She exuded confidence in a satiny white Balenciaga dress and red shoes.
Martin was seen wearing a black vest from Michael Kors Collection paired with red pants by Hermes and Tibi shoes. In a separate look, the student opted for a comfortable and stylish Jil Sanders sweater and pants outfit.
Martin was the image of her Oscar-winning mother in a black and white Alaia dress and skirt.
She confidently displayed her flexibility while modeling an outfit that included a top by Hermes, shorts from Khaite, and shoes by Maison Margiela.
Beginning in September 2025, Martin will represent the Self-Portrait brand as an ambassador and often turns to Gwyneth Paltrow for style ideas.
I absolutely love my mom’s clothes from when she was in her twenties. Just looking at them makes me feel really emotional and connected to her past.
Gwyneth Paltrow recently explained she moved away from Los Angeles because she found it too difficult to be in the house after her children had grown up and left.
The actress known for playing Pepper Potts in the Iron Man movies, and who shares a son named Moses with her former partner, said she decided to downsize and move to a new home after her children grew up and moved out.
She explained to The Hollywood Reporter that Los Angeles suffered greatly during the COVID-19 pandemic, and things haven’t fully recovered since.
I couldn’t bear the thought of living in that house without children. It felt empty without the noise and fun of having kids around – no more sleepovers, no more pancake breakfasts. I just couldn’t handle it.
Gwyneth and Brad currently divide their time between their houses in Montecito, California, and Amagansett, New York.
The actress, originally from California but growing up in New York City, shared that she hadn’t intended to move to Los Angeles. However, she decided to after her separation from Chris Martin in 2014.
She described their life as being very relaxed and rural, spending time in places like Montecito and Amagansett. However, she also emphasized that Los Angeles remains a significant and important part of her identity.
I was born here, and this place feels deeply ingrained in who I am. However, until about ten years ago, I hadn’t lived in Los Angeles since my childhood, aside from times I spent staying with my former partner, Brad Pitt, in Hollywood.
It felt like a dream. I hadn’t actually lived here since sixth grade – I spent most of my time in New York, and then London. When Chris and I split up, he was really supportive and said I was welcome to move back home if I wanted.
We ended up in Los Angeles because that’s where he felt comfortable – he just wasn’t suited for New York City. I created a wonderful life there with my children, and it was a truly special period. Los Angeles was really experiencing a cultural revival at the time.
Gwyneth has made a return to acting after a lengthy break to star in sports drama Marty Supreme.
