Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter Apple Martin sparks nepo baby complaints after landing fashion deal at age 21

A new partnership between a fashion house and Apple Martin has ruffled some feathers.

In a reveal on Tuesday, it was announced that Apple Martin, who is 21 years old and the daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin, has become the representative for the fashion brand based in London called Self-Portrait.

However, not all internet users expressed enthusiasm about the announcement, as some critics accused nepotism and sarcastically raised eyebrows at the chosen cast members.

‘THIS is nepotism gone bad,’ one wrote.

One witty commentator quipped, “At last! Relief at hand, I was anxious that another unworthy child of Hollywood might miss out on a highly lucrative position. With this development, it seems the universe is just.

Wow, this post remarks, ‘It’s surprising she’s the public figure she is! It seems she benefits from nepotism and lacks genuine talent.’

‘And she did it all on her own,’ one bemoaned.

‘Oh what a shock! Nepotism at its finest,’ another quipped.

The individual suggested that the college student was gaining attention mainly due to her celebrity parentage: ‘Her fame wouldn’t have attracted notice if she wasn’t Gwyneth Paltrow’s daughter.’

‘I’m shocked. A celebrity’s child who wants to be a model,’ one commented.

On Tuesday, it was disclosed that Apple has teamed up with fashion label Self-Portrait for the first time, making Apple the face of the brand in this collaboration.

Through a sequence of self-portraits taken by Apple, the declaration encapsulates the casual, assured, and self-expressed ethos of a generation of youthful clients, an attitude that persistently motivates the fashion brand and its creations, as stated in a recent press communique.

Over the next few months, the partnership between Apple and Self-Portrait is set to grow and reveal itself in various forms, including fashion photography, videos, and special events.

Self-portrait, founded by Han Chong in 2013, is now widely recognized as a brand that empowers its clients through versatile attire suitable for both day and evening occasions. This fashion line inspires women who possess a worldwide perspective and a carefree attitude.

Self-Portrait, a contemporary fashion label established by Malaysian designer Han Chong in the UK back in 2013, now calls London its home. Known for its stylish designs suitable for both day and evening events, Self-Portrait has earned recognition as a modern symbol of occasionwear.

Apple has become a part of an esteemed group known as the Self-Portrait family, which includes models such as Emily Ratajkowski, Gigi Hadid, Naomi Campbell, Irina Shayk, Bella Hadid, Kate Moss, Jisoo, and Phoebe Dynevor.

A diverse range of influential figures such as Beyoncé, Olivia Rodrigo, Michelle Obama, BlackPink, Paris Hilton, Selena Gomez, Cynthia Erivo, Gigi Hadid, and others have been seen sporting this brand.

Han, having honed his skills at Central Saint Martins, is deeply invested in nurturing the future of creative minds. In 2018, he established a five-year scholarship program with Central Saint Martins, providing financial aid for five students to complete their MA degrees, along with guidance on navigating the practicalities of running a fashion business. Furthermore, his self-portrait brand is dedicated to minimizing its environmental footprint by utilizing ethically sourced fibers. In 2019, they began integrating organic cotton and recycled chiffon into their collections.

This comes after she was seen in Nashville last week.

As I strolled across the picturesque campus of Vanderbilt University, I made sure to keep my attire casual and comfortable – after all, a college lifestyle means balance between studying and leisure!

Instead of wearing a self-designed T-shirt displaying her lean midriff, adorned with low-slung blue denim jeans and black Repetto pumps, she carried a stylish black Prada handbag instead of a book-laden backpack, as a student.

As Chris Martin’s daughter, I styled my blond tresses cascading down my shoulders while donning dark sunglasses perched on the bridge of my nose and a sparkling silver heart pendant adorning my neck. With earbuds nestled in my ears as I immersed myself in the melodies from my phone, it appeared that I was absorbed in a world beyond the real one.

A friend shared with the Daily Mail that Apple is enjoying her college experience, it suits her perfectly and provides her with both academic opportunities and a sense of belonging. She’s adapted well to campus life and has formed many new friendships, which are significant for her. It’s clear she’s flourishing in Nashville.

Apple is currently a college junior at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee.

In an interview with Interview magazine in April, it was disclosed that although the individual’s major is in Law, History, and Society, they might consider enrolling in a theater class before completing their studies.

She mentioned that it’s quite hectic as she has tech week coming up right after spring break, and she needs to prepare all the costumes for the show, ensuring everyone is well-dressed.

She finds the atmosphere at her college pleasant as well, stating that it’s easier for her to attend classes on nice days and expressing that she enjoys the scenery. She conveyed this by saying, “Honestly, the vibes are great here. It’s so much nicer getting out of bed and walking to class when the weather is nice. I have to admit, it suits me well.

Martin is currently part of our amazing Vanderbilt Original Cast, a well-respected cabaret theater group. This semester, we’re putting together a hilarious musical parody of Love Island titled ‘Love on an Island’. I must say, it’s been a blast working on this project and the songs are simply fantastic!

Vanderbilt University, established back in 1873, resides in the city of Nashville and carries the name of the esteemed business tycoon, Cornelius Vanderbilt, who made his fortune in shipping and railroads.

Apple celebrated her 21st birthday in May.

She had marked the milestone with a glitzy ‘debutante’ coming-of-age ball back in December.

As a diehard fan, let me share with you an unforgettable experience I had in the city of love, Paris. The exclusive event I attended took place at the Hotel Shangri-La, where a single night’s stay would set you back a grand sum. Accompanying Apple on this glamorous evening was Count Leo Henckel von Donnersmarck, a dashing gent with noble roots tracing back to the Austro-Hungarian empire.

Apple’s proud parents were also in attendance, as was her brother Moses, who is now 19.

There was backlash against her where she was accused of being snobby.

I’ve always been utterly smitten by her charisma, but some people claim she carries a hint of her famous mom Paltrow’s ‘mean girl’ charm. Yet, it seems that charm is serving her well in the blossoming of her brand, GOOP, these days.

Apple and her friends cheerfully expressed, “It’s hard for us to understand why anyone might have an issue with us; we’re simply so enjoyable.” (to a voiceover on social media)

In my own words, I’d say, “I proudly affirm that among all, me and my partner stand out as the most hilarious duo. Trust me, our friendship goes beyond just being online friends. We’re deeply connected, like old pals who have known each other offline for ages.” And when it comes to showing care, generosity, and kindness, there simply aren’t two more deserving individuals out there.

Loppin de Montmort came to Apple’s defense amid the mounting backlash.

She expressed to People that Apple is incredibly kind-hearted, perhaps the kindest girl anyone has ever met. To her, Apple does not in any way deserve the slightest bit of hardship she’s experiencing.

‘She was the nicest girl ever towards not only me but all the debs!’ she added.
