Gwyneth Paltrow‘s intimate scenes with Timothée Chalamet in the movie Marty Supreme made her 19-year-old son, Moses, feel embarrassed.
The 53-year-old actress revealed her son, Moses, was uncomfortable watching her film a love scene with the 30-year-old actor, despite having a professional intimacy coordinator on set to help ensure everything was comfortable and safe.
According to People magazine, Gwyneth Paltrow shared this information during a question-and-answer session for her movie on January 9th at San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood.
The event also featured Demi Moore, who attended the film screening and the following discussion.
Gwyneth Paltrow, who has two children – Moses and Apple, age 21 – with her ex-husband, Chris Martin of Coldplay, expressed concern for her son, saying, ‘Oh my God! My poor son.’
The wellness guru recently shared a surprising story about Leonardo DiCaprio. She said he was deeply upset when he attended a premiere in Los Angeles. She recounted this after reconnecting with him at the 2026 AFI Awards, where she also mentioned she had turned him down years ago in the 1990s.

The film stars Gwyneth Paltrow as Kay Stone, a glamorous but past-her-prime actress from the 1930s. She finds herself unexpectedly involved with Marty Mauser, played by Timothée Chalamet, a shoe salesman with big dreams of becoming a table tennis champion in 1950s New York.
In October 2024, photos surfaced of the movie’s leads sharing a romantic kiss in Central Park, quickly generating a lot of attention. The actors’ age difference and Timothée Chalamet’s physique were key topics of conversation.
Gwyneth Paltrow mentioned in a March 2025 interview with Vanity Fair that the movie features a significant amount of sexual content. She emphasized, ‘There’s a lot – a lot.’
The interviewer followed up by asking if Paltrow often found herself in difficult or exposed situations with the person in question. Paltrow responded emphatically, stating it was ‘Beyond’ that – meaning it was far more extreme than could be imagined.
The actress from Shakespeare In Love explained that all the intimate scenes in the film were carefully monitored by a professional intimacy coordinator on set.
Gwyneth Paltrow recently learned about a new role on set called an intimacy coordinator, someone who specializes in facilitating intimate scenes.
Gwyneth Paltrow stated that the intimacy coordinator checked with her to see if she was comfortable with a particular scene.
She remembered saying, “Back in my day, if you were going to be intimate, you just did it – no need for a performance or a camera.”

Gwyneth Paltrow was asked in a December interview with The Hollywood Reporter if she’d received texts from friends commenting on her kiss with Timothée Chalamet.
Timothée Chalamet is a popular young actor in Hollywood who has been linked to several high-profile relationships, including those with Lily-Rose Depp, Eiza Gonzalez, Lourdes Leon, and most recently, Kylie Jenner.
I was so thrilled to hear the news confirmed! She actually said ‘blowing up!’ – it was so exciting! All my closest friends, both here in LA and back in England – my ‘mummy friends,’ as I call them – were all texting me at once, they were so happy for her too.
Because they know I only look at high-quality content, people started sending me lots of pictures, excitedly saying things like, “Yes, G.P.!” Everyone was really happy about it.
Gwyneth Paltrow revealed her children, Apple and Moses, reacted quite differently to the photos of her kissing someone.
Gwyneth Paltrow started by saying her daughter is incredibly cool and has a rebellious streak, often reacting to things with enthusiastic approval, saying things like, “Mom, this is awesome!”
‘And my son was like, “Oh my God, I don’t want to see this.” He was kind of mortified.’
At the time, she felt they would welcome the movie.

Oh my gosh, I just know people are going to love this movie! It’s like, they’ve grown up alongside the characters, and now they’re finally at a point where they can really understand everything and appreciate it on a whole new level. It’s so perfect, honestly!
They’ll probably be shocked to see me in a kissing scene, I’m sure. It’s ironic, though, because they haven’t actually watched many of my films.
Ultimately, she realized her children simply see her as their mother. They’ve always preferred her to be at home, fulfilling the traditional role of ‘Mom,’ and aren’t comfortable with them seeing her as someone else outside of that role.
Released on December 25th, the film Marty Supreme features Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher, and was directed by Josh Safdie.
