Gwyneth Paltrow, 53, says she ‘worried’ about her sex scenes with Timothée Chalamet, 30, in Marty Supreme because she thought their age gap would be ‘really weird’

Gwyneth Paltrow admitted she felt uneasy about filming intimate scenes with Timothée Chalamet because of their significant age difference.

I was honestly a bit worried about how things would go when my favorite actress, who’s 53, had to film intimate scenes with her co-star in ‘Marty Supreme’. She thought the 23-year age difference might make him uncomfortable, and she admitted she wasn’t entirely sure about it either. But thankfully, she said everything ended up being okay and they handled it well. It’s such a relief to hear it all worked out!

During a question-and-answer session for the film in Santa Monica, she explained that he was around 27 or 28 years old while she was in her fifties, and she admitted the age difference felt strange.

I worried it might be strange for him, especially if I was feeling awkward, but it turned out to be perfectly okay. It wasn’t a big deal at all.

There were quite a few intimate scenes, and honestly, I was a little nervous about them since it had been a while. But everyone was very comfortable and professional, and it all went smoothly.

Gwyneth added that she found the A Complete Unknown actor ‘so easy’ to work with on Marty Supreme.

According to People magazine, she enthusiastically praised him, saying he’s a pleasure to work with because he’s incredibly talented, dedicated, relaxed, and self-assured.

This follows Gwyneth Paltrow’s revelation that her son shielded his eyes while watching her intimate scenes in a movie. Paltrow shares Apple, 21, and Moses, 19, with her ex-husband, Chris Martin.

When Seth Meyers asked about how the young actor coped with the movie’s intimate scenes on NBC’s Late Night, she responded bluntly: ‘Not well’.

Gwyneth then knelt down and covered her eyes, explaining, “He was like this the whole time. He just doesn’t enjoy that.”

Even though Moses was uncomfortable with it, his sister Apple thought their mother was incredibly cool for kissing Timothée, 30, in a romantic scene filmed in Central Park for the movie.

She shared with Extra that her daughter found the situation really inappropriate, and her son was shocked, saying it was ‘too much’ to handle.

The Iron Man star previously stressed movie sex scenes are ‘very mechanical’.

On The Drew Barrymore Show, she described the experience as feeling like kissing a stranger – someone you’re not romantically involved with. She explained it felt detached and purely physical, lacking any emotional connection.

Actress Drew agreed, explaining it was like getting intimate with a ‘colleague’.

Gwyneth quipped: ‘It’s like a choreography but involving tongues.’

Ever since the film came out last month, many people have predicted Timothée will be a major contender for awards due to his performance.

The actor posted photos on Instagram from the awards show, featuring him kissing his golden award and celebrating with his director, Josh Safdie.

He captioned the post: ‘THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!! SO TREMENDOUSLY GRATEFUL!!!!!!’

After accepting his award, Timothée Chalamet acknowledged the other nominees – George Clooney, Ethan Hawke, Lee Byung-hun, Jesse Plemons, and Leonardo DiCaprio – saying the group was incredibly talented and that he admired them all.

The Dune actor arrived at the ceremony with his girlfriend, Kylie Jenner, and thanked both her and his parents when he accepted his award.

He shared with the audience that his father taught him to always be thankful. He explained that this sense of gratitude has allowed him to feel proud and fulfilled simply by being present, even without receiving any awards or recognition.

It wouldn’t be honest to say the difficult times didn’t make this feel even more special. I want to say I love my parents and my partner, and I’m so grateful for all of you. Thank you.
