On Friday, Gwyneth Paltrow shared a fresh-faced, makeup-free selfie, giving her followers a peek at what her mornings are like.
The 53-year-old Academy Award winner, who recently opened up about her challenges with mental health, shared a photo on her Instagram stories while wearing eye masks.
The actress started her relaxing morning with an eye mask from her own Goop Beauty line. A pack of 30 masks currently costs $125, according to the Goop website.
For the photo, Paltrow chose to go without makeup and wore her blonde hair in a simple updo.
The mother of two recently shared six morning habits, including cleaning her tongue with a scraper.
Last month, a video surfaced showing actress Gwyneth Paltrow wearing a cozy white robe in what appeared to be a large bathroom.

After scraping her tongue with copper, she’ll also practice ‘oil pulling’ by swishing oil around in her mouth.
According to Healthline, this practice is a traditional Indian folk remedy believed to whiten teeth, freshen breath, and significantly improve overall mouth health.
Next, she washes her face with Goop cleanser and then applies Goop’s Peptide Serum to give her skin a radiant glow.
Gwyneth Paltrow follows up with a combined moisturizer and then applies Goop face oil, which she affectionately refers to as ‘liquid gold’.
The actress known for her role in ‘Shakespeare In Love’ recently shared her views on beauty and getting older, as she did in an interview with Coveteur last September.
You know, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve really started to feel how quickly life goes by. It’s made me realize just how precious and temporary everything is, and how important it is to really cherish the time we have.
I’ve been finding more meaning in life by intentionally slowing down and taking things at a more relaxed pace.
She explained that turning 50 brought a sense of freedom, a desire to live life exactly how she wanted, and to surround herself with things that brought her joy and fulfillment.

The actress shared that she’s currently focusing on understanding her physical and mental state, paying close attention to how she feels at any moment.
I didn’t take very good care of my skin when I was younger. I often just went to sleep without washing my face, still wearing makeup from the day before.
You know, as I’ve gotten older, I’ve really embraced the idea of aging gracefully and feeling good about it. For me, that means being proactive about my well-being – really focusing on skincare, but also nurturing my mental and physical health. It’s about feeling empowered at every age!
As I’ve learned over the years, and shared with Bustle back in 2023, turning 50 felt surprisingly freeing. I actually found I had less anxiety about aging at that milestone – it was a really positive shift in perspective!
Turning fifty was actually a really positive experience. I worried I’d be upset or scared, because I remember being really anxious when I turned forty, but it wasn’t like that at all.
I wasn’t struggling at all when I turned fifty. I felt really content – I cherished my friends, husband, and kids. Work was challenging, sure, but overall, life was good.
The actress went on to say she doesn’t care what people think of her, emphasizing that she’s comfortable with who she is. She described turning 50 as a time of greater self-discovery, and feels that process is continuing to improve her life.
This week on her Goop podcast, Gwyneth Paltrow openly discussed her mental health, revealing she has Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD).

The star explained, ‘I would like to be more intentional about how I spend my time.
I often find my attention scattered and get easily distracted. I’m hoping to improve my focus and feel more centered and present during the day.
Gwyneth Paltrow explained that stress, being in the public eye, and hormonal changes have negatively impacted her nervous system.
She shared that having lived in the public spotlight for so long has been very challenging, and she’s dealt with anxiety as a result.
I’ve always been easily affected by what others think, like many people are, and it really stresses me out when I feel like my well-being depends on their opinions.
The actor also shared that they’ve been experiencing anxiety for the first time, which they believe is linked to hormonal shifts, possibly an overbalance of estrogen. They explained this imbalance can trigger feelings of anxiety.
You know, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about what really affects how we feel. It’s not just one thing – it’s a mix of our bodies, our minds, our emotions, and even how we navigate the world and our relationships. Honestly, I’m not sure why, but these things have been hitting me particularly strongly over the last couple of years. It’s like everything is amplified.

Gwyneth Paltrow also explained that she could tell something was off with her health, noticing that even when she was tired, her heart would start beating quickly once she lay down to sleep. She believes this is related to her cortisol levels, a hormone linked to stress.
It’s just… ever since I became a fan, I’ve been getting these awful, random thoughts that pop into my head, and I never used to have them before. Thankfully, I’m still mostly sleeping alright, but there are mornings I wake up feeling completely terrified for no reason at all. It’s like the dread just hits me the second I open my eyes.
‘So there’s a lot of parts to it, but definitely there’s a big nervous system component.’
Gwyneth Paltrow shared that she’s currently working with two therapists and relies on a fantastic support group for help.
