Guy Sebastian suffers shocking injury during Japan family snow trip – forcing him to miss out on skiing
Guy Sebastian has sustained a serious injury during his family ski holiday in Japan.
At the moment, the 43-year-old Australian musician is enjoying a lively winter getaway with his spouse Jules and their kids, Hudson (age 12) and Archer (age 10).
It appears that the artist behind “Battle Scars” may need to enjoy the snowy landscape while stationed at the mountain’s foot, as he sustained a painful leg injury.
On Sunday, Jules posted on Instagram that Guy suffered a tear in his calf muscle while skiing, meaning he won’t hit the slopes for a while.
‘He’s out. Torn calf. Middle-aged man injury,’ the 45-year-old wrote.
Later on, Jules posted a picture of herself looking quite self-satisfied, standing at the edge of a mountain dressed entirely in ski attire.
‘Smug much? (I actually do feel bad for Guy – poor thing!’ she added.
Guy and his family previously visited Tokyo before heading to the ski fields.
On Saturday, Jules posted a collection of pictures capturing various instances of Guy and their children enjoying the stunning vistas of a Japanese metropolis.
In a single snapshot, Guy beamed as he stood with Hudson and Archer, followed by enjoying a meal purchased from local markets.
Another snap showed Jules posing in a photobooth with Hudson.
‘Absolutely loving exploring Tokyo,’ she captioned her post.
It’s not the first time a member of the Sebastian family has been injured during a family ski trip.
Last year, Jules disclosed that she had fractured her leg without realizing it during some wintertime frolics at Thredbo.
The stylist inquired of her social media audience, “Were you really skiing if you didn’t sustain any broken bones?
Jules went on to explain that she continued skiing for several days, as if nothing had happened.
She wrote, ‘The most amusing part is that I discovered it only today, so I continued skiing for the remainder of the week. Now, I’m living with a fractured leg.’ Following this, she added, ‘I guess you could say I had quite a few laughs about it.’
Over the past few weeks, Jules has been trying to maintain a positive outlook despite enduring a deeply painful family tragedy.
In November, she took to Instagram to reveal that her father had died in an emotional post.
She called him an “outstanding father any daughter would dream of” and posted a picture from her wedding day, featuring her beaming father by her side.
‘This week my beautiful Dad went to heaven to be with the angels,’ the caption read.
We’re deeply saddened, yet overflowing with appreciation for the precious moments we shared during his final days.
When I recall my father, it’s his sparkling eyes that come to mind. He was constantly eager for laughter and jokes, effortlessly navigating life with a gentle grace. My dad always found time for others, making each person feel significant and valued.
She characterized him as a laid-back, friendly individual who has a deep love for both music and art, along with what she deemed as exceptionally beautiful handwriting.
In the first person, I might say: “Everyone who knew him held a deep affection for him. This past week, I’ve been astonished by the number of people who referred to him as an exceptional human being. Indeed, he was one of the best – genuinely good.
Experiencing an indescribable sense of honor to have been present when my father took his final breath on this planet. Words seem inadequate for the experience; instead, it remains a uniquely precious memory I can hardly express.
To my beloved Mom, who has stood by my father’s side for 51 years, supporting him through joyful days and challenging ones – you are truly my inspiration. A guardian angel here on Earth.
In conclusion, I penned down an emotional tribute, expressing: “The phrase ‘I loved my Father’ falls short of encapsulating the depth of my affection.
He was an ideal father any daughter could dream of having. I’m deeply missing him now. May you rest in eternal tranquility, Daddy – please pass on our love to your older brother.
Jules has been supported by her husband Guy and their two sons through the difficult time.
In May 2008, after almost a decade together, the longtime lovers exchanged vows in a charming wedding ceremony held in Manly, Sydney.
