Good news for fans of mystery! Prime Video announced that a second season of Guy Ritchie’s Young Sherlock is in the works. The show, which premiered last month, quickly became one of Prime Video’s most popular original series.
The series Young Sherlock features Hero Fiennes Tiffin as the 19-year-old Sherlock Holmes, with Dónal Fin playing his rival, Moriarty. The cast also includes Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons, and Colin Firth.
Mark Ritchie created the series with Peter Harness and served as executive producer, directing the first two episodes of the first season. He’ll continue as executive producer for season two and will direct its first episode.

Prime Video reports that the first season of Young Sherlock was watched by 45 million people globally within its first 28 days. The show also reached the number one spot in over 95 countries.
Peter Friedlander, head of global television at Amazon MGM Studio, announced that “Young Sherlock” possesses a special quality. He explained that the show’s millions of fans aren’t simply enjoying a mystery—they’re connecting with the story of how a legendary figure came to be.
